
WWE NXT saw a major increase in both viewership and demo ratings for its May 5 episode on The CW Network.
According to Programming Insider, Tuesday’s broadcast averaged 641,000 viewers, marking a significant rise from the 541,000 viewers the show drew on April 28.

The May 5 audience was the highest total viewership for NXT since February 16.
The show also experienced a strong increase in the key 18-49 demographic.
Tuesday’s episode posted a 0.11 rating in the demo, up from the 0.07 rating recorded the previous week.
Despite the gains, NXT still faced heavy competition from both the NBA Playoffs and NHL Playoffs throughout the night.
The episode reportedly ranked second-to-last among network television programs for the evening.
One of the biggest talking points from the show was the official introduction of Naraku, formerly known as EVIL in New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Naraku’s introductory vignette became the most-viewed clip from the episode on YouTube with approximately 155,000 views.
Other top-performing clips from the episode included:
- Myka Lockwood attacking Jasper Troy to help Jackson Drake — 105,000 views
- A major brawl involving Tatum Paxley, Lizzy Rain, Zaria, and Nikkita Lyons — 72,000 views
- Mason Rook laying out Tony D’Angelo — 72,000 views
- Jaida Parker vs. Kali Armstrong — 66,000 views
The strong increase in audience comes as WWE continues reshaping the NXT roster following multiple main roster call-ups after WrestleMania 42.
