Viewership for AEW Dynamite + Collision Holiday Bash – The December 17 episode of AEW Dynamite drew an average of 511,000 viewers on TBS, reflecting a one percent decrease from the previous week. Despite the modest dip, the episode still stands as the fourth-largest audience total for the program since October 15, indicating relative stability compared to other recent broadcasts.
In the key 18–49 demographic, Dynamite posted a 0.08 rating. That figure was down 11.1 percent week over week and tied the lowest rating the show has ever recorded on a Wednesday night. It also marked the lowest overall demo rating for Dynamite since the Title Tuesday edition in October. While the decline is notable, the episode aired in a highly competitive environment.
Dynamite went head-to-head with a televised speech from President Donald Trump, which reportedly drove increased viewership toward cable news networks across multiple channels. That external competition likely played a role in suppressing wrestling viewership during the same time slot, particularly in the younger demographic categories.
Following Dynamite, AEW Collision aired immediately afterward and averaged 333,000 viewers. That number represents a 3.4 percent increase compared to the last time Collision followed Dynamite in November. It was also Collision’s highest audience total since October 15, which was similarly positioned after Dynamite. The lead-in from Dynamite once again appeared to provide a measurable boost to Collision’s overall viewership.
However, Collision did not fare as well in the 18–49 demo. The show posted a 0.05 rating, which was down 28.6 percent from the previous Wednesday airing. Among the four episodes of Collision that have aired after Dynamite on a Wednesday, this was the lowest demo performance.
Taken together, the numbers reflect a mixed night for AEW. While Dynamite saw slight declines in both total viewers and the key demo, it maintained one of its stronger audience totals of the past two months under difficult competition. Collision benefited from the Dynamite lead-in in total viewers but struggled to retain momentum among younger viewers. How AEW performs in the coming weeks, particularly without major external news competition, should provide clearer insight into ongoing viewership trends.
