Major Championship Matches Set for 12/29 WWE RAW

Major Championship Matches Set for 12/29 WWE RAW – WWE continued to load up the 12/29 episode of Monday Night RAW with major announcements during the December 22 broadcast, confirming two championship matches for next week’s show.

Backstage, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce met with Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer to address her ongoing issues with Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez. Pearce questioned how they should resolve the tension between all three women. Vaquer dismissed the idea that she had any problems at all and instead requested a Triple Threat Match for her Women’s World Championship. Pearce approved the idea on the spot, officially adding the title match to next week’s lineup.

The announcement prompted a fired‑up response from Nikki Bella, who stormed to ringside and climbed onto the commentary table. From there, she delivered an egotistical promo, declaring that she would take the spotlight and the championship at any cost. Her interruption briefly halted the show, underscoring the intensity heading into the Triple Threat.

WWE also confirmed that The Usos will challenge AJ Styles and Dragon Lee for the World Tag Team Championship on December 29. The Usos earned the opportunity after defeating The New Day last week.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviewed the champions about the upcoming defense. Styles listed the teams they have already beaten, pointing out how many claimed to be the best before falling short. Dragon Lee added that regardless of the outcome, the match will be a classic, promising that they will “bring the fire” as they always do. Styles closed the segment by stating that as long as they hold the titles, they are “better than the best.”

With two championship matches now confirmed, WWE is positioning the December 29 episode of RAW as one of the most stacked shows to end the year.
