Bandido Wins Dynamite Diamond Ring – For the first time since the Dynamite Diamond Ring was introduced in 2019, AEW has officially crowned a brand‑new winner — and his name is Bandido.
During last week’s Dynamite Holiday Bash in Manchester, UK, Bandido and Ricochet outlasted the field in the annual Dynamite Diamond Ring battle royal, earning the right to face each other for the 2025 ring. That match took place tonight on the December 24th Dynamite on 34th Street special, where Bandido defeated Ricochet to secure the prestigious prize.
The closing stretch saw Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) attempt to tip the match in Ricochet’s favor by creating a distraction. Ricochet capitalized with a spirit gun, but Bandido countered the follow‑up and caught him in a perfectly‑timed crucifix pin to score the upset victory.
After the match, Ricochet and Gates of Agony launched a three‑on‑one beatdown on the new ring holder. The attack was cut short when Brody King stormed the ring to save his tag‑team partner, clearing the heels and standing tall with Bandido to close the segment.
Bandido’s win is historic — he becomes the first wrestler other than MJF to hold the Dynamite Diamond Ring. MJF had won every edition of the ring since its creation in 2019, making Bandido’s victory a major milestone for both his career and AEW’s annual tradition.
With the ring now in his possession, Bandido moves on to his next major challenge: a shot at the AEW World Championship. He will face the reigning champion at AEW Dynamite: Maximum Carnage on January 14, 2026, marking the biggest singles opportunity of his AEW run to date.
