Title Match Announced for 1/24 WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event – Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez are officially next in line for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. During the 1/12 episode of WWE RAW, the Judgment Day duo secured a title opportunity by winning a high-stakes triple threat number one contender’s match, punching their ticket to WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 24.
Morgan and Perez outlasted two former championship-caliber teams in the bout, defeating both The Kabuki Warriors and the team of Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. Asuka and Kairi Sane were seeking immediate redemption after losing the titles to Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY last week, but a brief lapse in awareness proved costly. Late in the match, Sane failed to notice that Morgan had tagged herself in. While Sane remained focused on Perez, Morgan capitalized, connecting with Oblivion to score the decisive pinfall.
With the win, Morgan and Perez will challenge Ripley and SKY, who are still in the early stages of their reign as Women’s Tag Team Champions. The pairing, known as “RHIYO,” captured the titles on RAW and now face their first major test as champions against a dangerous and increasingly cohesive Judgment Day team.
The January 24 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, airing live on Peacock. The event comes just one week before the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event in Saudi Arabia, adding extra importance to every result on the card. This will also mark the first Saturday Night’s Main Event since John Cena’s retirement match closed the December special.
In addition to the Women’s Tag Team Championship bout, the show will feature a fatal four-way match to determine the number one contender for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, with participants to be finalized through upcoming qualifying matches.
