Expanding upon his viewpoint of headlining night one vs. night two, Punk noted that it is similar to doing as such for music festivals with multiple lineups.
“I think WrestleMania is so big, and our roster is so deep, it’s hard to spotlight all the talented people who deserve those spots. To me, two nights, it’s better than one. I don’t really differentiate between night one and night two. I look at it like a Lollapalooza, or what’s another huge festival? They’re multiple nights. You got a headliner like every single night,” Punk told the “Up & Adams Show.”
“Lucky for us, you get to wake up and do it again the next day. Last year, night one afforded me the ability to be completely stress free night two. I got to be a fan. I got to sit and watch the show, so love that. I absolutely loved it.”
As of this writing, the main event for WrestleMania 42 night one has yet to be confirmed, though there are a few glaring possibilities. Whomever wins the Men’s Elimination Chamber will earn an Undisputed WWE Championship match at “The Show of Shows.” That title is held by “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre. Elsewhere, Liv Morgan has secured a title match of her choosing at the upcoming event by winning the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble. Stephanie Vaquer currently reigns as the WWE Women’s World Champion, while Jade Cargill serves as the WWE Women’s Champion.
