WWE is reportedly planning the next edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event for later this spring, though the event is still a few months away. According to a new report, the special is currently scheduled to take place on May 23, with the location still being finalized.

WrestleVotes reports that Nashville, Tennessee is one of the cities currently under consideration to host the event. While WWE has not officially confirmed the venue or city, the show is expected to air live on Peacock when it takes place.

The planned timing for Saturday Night’s Main Event comes during a busy stretch on WWE’s calendar. The company will soon begin a lengthy international tour across Europe. Between March 29 and June 8, WWE has multiple live events scheduled in Spain, Italy, France, and Portugal.

After that run of shows concludes, WWE will return to Europe again later in June. A special episode of WWE RAW is currently scheduled for London on June 22, continuing the company’s international presence during the summer.

The May 23 date for Saturday Night’s Main Event would also place the special close to another major WWE event. The show is expected to happen just over a week before Clash in Italy, a Premium Live Event scheduled to take place in Turin.

The date also places the WWE special on a notable weekend within the wrestling industry. Saturday Night’s Main Event is set for May 23, which falls one day before AEW’s Double or Nothing 2026 pay-per-view event in New York City.

Saturday Night’s Main Event originally returned to WWE programming in December 2024 when the company revived the classic television special. Since then, WWE has presented several editions of the show as part of its premium programming schedule.

The most recent Saturday Night’s Main Event took place in January, shortly before the Royal Rumble. Prior to that, WWE held two specials in November and December 2025. The December event was particularly notable because it was built around John Cena’s retirement storyline, making it one of the more significant editions since the revival of the series.

As of now, WWE has not announced matches or additional details for the upcoming May event, but more information is expected as the date approaches.
