Ronda Rousey made a surprise appearance during AEW Revolution on Sunday night, confronting Toni Storm moments after Storm’s victory earlier in the show.

Storm had just picked up a hard-fought win over Marina Shafir and was celebrating on the entrance ramp while the crowd applauded her performance. As Storm acknowledged the fans, the atmosphere quickly shifted when Rousey suddenly appeared and entered the ring.

Rousey then called Storm out and challenged her to come down to the ring. Storm reacted with a smirk, signaling that she was ready for the confrontation. She turned around and confidently walked back toward the ring to meet Rousey face-to-face.

Before the two could get physical, security rushed down to the ring and separated them. During the commotion, Storm was backed into the corner, creating an opening for Shafir to strike from behind. Shafir delivered a cheap shot to Storm, which drew a visible reaction from Rousey, who appeared pleased with the outcome.

Commentary also noted that Rousey is scheduled to return to mixed martial arts soon. She is set to face Gina Carano in an MMA bout at the Intuit Dome on May 16.

The appearance at AEW Revolution marked Rousey’s first pro wrestling-related appearance in more than two years. Her most recent match before that came at a Ring of Honor television taping on November 17, 2023, where she and Shafir defeated Athena and Billie Starkz.

In September 2025, Rousey publicly stated that she believed her time in professional wrestling had come to an end. She explained at the time that much of her motivation to remain in WWE came from teaming with Shayna Baszler. Baszler also ended up being her final WWE opponent at SummerSlam 2023.

Despite Rousey’s comments about leaving wrestling behind, Baszler later told Chris Van Vliet during an interview in December that she believed Rousey would never be completely finished with the industry.

Based on her surprise appearance at AEW Revolution, Rousey clearly still has a connection to the pro wrestling world, even if this moment turns out to be a one-off appearance for now.
