An update has emerged regarding Chelsea Green following the ankle injury she suffered earlier this year.
Green was injured during the February 6 episode of WWE SmackDown in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend. Despite the setback, she has remained visible on television, continuing to appear across both WWE and AAA programming.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE is optimistic that Green could be medically cleared “sooner than later.” However, it remains uncertain whether that clearance will come in time for WrestleMania 42.
The report also noted that Green has been determined to stay involved as an on-screen personality throughout her recovery. That decision has allowed her to remain a consistent presence on SmackDown while also maintaining her connection to AAA storylines during her rehabilitation.
Her most recent appearance came via video during week two of AAA Rey de Reyes, where she addressed her status in the promotion. Green claimed she is still one-half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions, disputing the legitimacy of the recent title change.
According to Green, it was La Hiedra—not her—who teamed with Ethan Page in the match where they lost the titles to Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice. This claim suggests that Green still considers herself a rightful champion despite the outcome.
While her in-ring return date remains unclear, WWE’s optimism and Green’s continued on-screen involvement indicate that she is still a key part of ongoing storylines. Whether she will be fully cleared in time for WrestleMania remains to be seen.
