On the latest episode of “Raw”, GUNTHER made a surprise return…to attack Seth Rollins. Rollins has been in a feud with The Vision and Paul Heyman since he returned at Elimination Chamber. Moments before being attacked by GUNTHER, Rollins had attacked Heyman with a chair and connected with a Curb Stomp. Later in the episode, Adam Pearce announced Rollins was not only cleared, but would be facing GUNTHER at WrestleMania 42.
On Wednesday, Dave Meltzer reported that Rollins vs. GUNTHER had been the plan “for weeks” because Bronson Reed’s injury opened the door because “one of The Vision guys was going to face Seth.” However a report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select says that the match was finalized the week before the March 30 episode of “Raw”. They further reported that the match was not a unanimous creative decision. Some wanted to wrap up the story with Rollins and The Vision, but others wanted GUNTHER on the card. According to the report, Heyman will not be in GUNTHER’s corner for the match.
Bron Breakker was at the Performance Center last week in an attempt to be cleared. Meltzer stated on the same episode of Wrestling Observer Live that Breakker has been cleared. WWE feels the story with Breakker and Rollins could be a big program and didn’t want to rush it. Meltzer is unsure when they’ll have a match.
