Roman Reigns Says Loss to CM Punk Could End His WWE Run

Roman Reigns has raised the stakes ahead of WrestleMania 42, stating that a loss to CM Punk could mean the end of his place in WWE.

During an interview with Michael Cole on WWE’s official YouTube channel, Reigns spoke about the importance of WrestleMania and how seriously he views his role at the top of the company. He first addressed what a win would represent, pointing to restoring the standard he believes he previously set.

“I bring this place back to relevancy. I reset the standard. I already set the standard, got screwed up. Somebody’s gotta come in and refix it. And that’s what I would do.”

Cole then asked what would happen if Reigns lost to Punk at WrestleMania. Reigns responded with a direct statement, making it clear how much he believes is on the line.

“If I lose to CM Punk at WrestleMania, I don’t belong in the WWE anymore. I think if I were to lose on Sunday, I’d say my work is done.”

The comments add another layer to the rivalry heading into WrestleMania 42 Sunday, where Reigns challenges Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. The two previously shared the ring at WrestleMania 41 in a triple threat match that also included Seth Rollins.

Reigns’ statement highlights how personal the match has become. After building his career on consistency and dominance, he framed the outcome as a defining moment for his future in WWE.

With the stakes now clearly outlined, the WrestleMania 42 main event carries added weight as both competitors head into one of the biggest matches of the year.
