AEW Dynamite Results – April 29, 2026

AEW Dynamite Results – April 29, 2026 – Welcome to WrestlingAttitude.com’s coverage of AEW Dynamite for April 29, airing live from the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia.

AEW Dynamite comes on the air with Excalibur welcoming us alongside Tony Schiavone and Taz as they run down tonight’s card, which includes four championship matches. We open with the TNT Title, and a recap package rolls highlighting the past few weeks.

Taz says it looks strange seeing MJF without a title around his waist, like he’s practically nude out there. He also mentions he doesn’t like Kevin Knight or his partner, “Tae Kwon Do Jones.”

TNT Championship — Kevin Knight vs. MJF

We get big‑match introductions from Justin Roberts, with MJF ordering him to announce that he doesn’t hail from a “white trash town like Virginia.” The bell rings and MJF charges immediately, sending Knight crashing outside and powerbombing him across the railing. MJF grabs the ringside camera, films Knight, and calls him a bum. Back inside, Knight fires off a leaping lariat, but MJF cuts him down with a kitchen sink. They trade back‑suplex attempts until MJF snaps Knight down into a cutter for two.

Knight uses his speed to avoid multiple attacks and hits a jumping DDT, leading to a double down. Knight is up first and unloads with strikes in the ropes. A huge dropkick connects, followed by a kip‑up and a loud reaction from the crowd. A leaping standing splash gets a near fall. Knight lines up the home‑run shot, but MJF rolls outside three straight times — each time being met with a Knight slingshot crossbody, a tope, and a somersault dive. MJF rolls out a fourth time, and Knight caps the sequence with a springboard diving lariat up the aisle.

Back inside, Knight wants the UFO Splash, but MJF suckers him into the ropes. MJF misses a Heatseeker, they trade pin attempts, and MJF counters a rolling DDT into a pop‑up cutter for two. Knight fights off a Panama Sunrise, climbs with MJF in the ropes, backflips out, but tweaks his knee on the landing. Even so, Knight hits his leaping standing hurricanrana from the corner. He goes for the UFO Splash again but crashes and burns. Knight kicks free from a Figure Four and charges for a corner splash, but his leg buckles, leaving him wide open for a Panama Sunrise for two.

MJF smells blood and attacks the injured knee, locking in a Half Crab. Knight kicks free but collapses again. MJF tries another Panama Sunrise, but Knight blasts him with a thrust kick using the good leg. Knight goes up top and hits the UFO Splash, but takes too long to cover, allowing MJF to kick out at two.

MJF hits a dragon screw in the ropes and keeps snapping at the knee. He blows a snot rocket and spits on Knight. Knight keeps kicking out, infuriating MJF. MJF grabs the TNT Title and distracts Bryce Remsburg, who takes it away — giving MJF time to slip on the Dynamite Diamond Ring. Before he can use it, Knight hits a low blow and rolls him up. Bryce turns around and counts the three.

Winner: Kevin Knight (retains the TNT Championship)

MJF can’t believe what just happened. Knight slowly gets to his feet and raises the TNT Title for a brief moment before MJF chop‑blocks the injured leg from behind. MJF is ready to use the Dynamite Diamond Ring when Darby Allin appears with a Sting‑style entrance from the top of the arena. Darby hits the ring and plants MJF with a Scorpion Death Drop.

MJF scrambles up the aisle with a microphone, yelling that the fans suck while two “low‑life cheaters” get along with each other. He says he doesn’t care about Kevin Knight — he was barely trying in that match. The only thing he cares about is his Triple B, and he demands his rematch.

Darby says no. If MJF wants a shot, he’ll have to put something on the line. Darby says if he makes it past Brody King tonight, he knows who deserves the next shot: Kevin Knight.

Brody King’s music hits and he power‑walks to the ring. He stares down MJF before going face‑to‑face with Darby, telling him he has bad news — Darby isn’t surviving tonight. King then turns to Knight and says he has bad news for him too: next week, Knight won’t be facing Darby Allin… he’ll be facing Brody King.

No matter what happens tonight, Kevin Knight is getting an AEW World Title match next week.

Darby Allin vs. Brody King — Rivalry Package

After everything that just happened, we cut to a video package highlighting the long, violent history between Darby Allin and Brody King in AEW. Their past wars, their brutality, and the personal edge between them are all revisited. The narration makes it clear: there has never been a bigger match in their series than tonight’s main event for the AEW World Championship.

Renee Paquette with Adam Copeland & Christian Cage

Renee Paquette is backstage with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage. She asks about Cage’s fractured arm, but Cage brushes it off, telling her it’s fine and not to worry about it.

Renee then asks if they accept FTR’s challenge to make their Double or Nothing match an I Quit Match. Cage immediately accepts. Copeland looks surprised, reminding Cage of his history with I Quit Matches. Cage snaps, insisting he never said that, and storms off. Copeland quietly tells Renee that he absolutely said it — he just won’t say it again.

The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter & Alex Windsor) vs. Emily Jaye & Jordan Blade

Hayter wastes no time, blasting both Blade and Jaye with forearms as The Brawling Birds make rapid‑fire tags and unleash even faster chops. Windsor mows down Jaye at ringside while Hayter pounds away on Blade on the mat. A double headbutt from Hayter and Windsor lands clean. They follow with a sandwich double lariat, then hit Two Birds One Stone for a dominant, decisive victory.

Swerve Strickland NFL Draft Photos

Photos of Swerve Strickland at the NFL Draft are shown. No mention is made of Britt Baker, who was also in attendance.

Thekla & Skye Blue — Backstage

Thekla says she wishes she could stop calling people dumb bitches, but there are too many in AEW for her to even consider stopping. Skye Blue says she feels sorry that Persephone got misted last week by Julia Hart, but honestly, it’s the best thing that ever happened to her — maybe it’ll finally open her eyes.

Thekla then bad‑mouths The Brawling Birds, saying that one‑on‑one she’s everything while they’re nothing, so they should stick to being a tag team.

AEW International Championship – Kazuchika Okada vs. Ace Austin

Don Callis joins commentary. Excalibur notes Austin and Okada have history in New Japan Pro Wrestling, though this appears to be their first actual meeting. Okada controls early, but Austin catches him with a rolling drop toe hold into a cradle for a quick near fall. Austin strings together strikes and hits a deep‑squat Death Valley Driver. A spring kick sends Okada outside. Okada tries sweeping the leg on the apron, but Austin handstands out of it. Okada applauds the effort, then sidesteps a slingshot and spikes Austin with a DDT on the floor, smiling wide.

Okada picks Austin apart, even high‑fiving a kid at ringside. He plants Austin with an Air Raid Crash on the knee, then hits his top‑rope elbow and flips off the crowd — which Callis says is directed at Tony Schiavone. Austin fights off a Rainmaker, sends Okada outside, hits a pump kick on the apron, and follows with a Fosbury Flop. Back inside, Austin lands a combo of strikes, a leaping leg drop, and a springboard twisting leg drop for two.

Okada misses his leaping dropkick, giving Austin a roll‑up for two. Austin tries the springboard leg drop again, but this time Okada nails the dropkick mid‑air. Austin ducks a Rainmaker and nearly steals it with a backslide, but Okada pops up, hits another dropkick, then a Tombstone, and finally the Rainmaker for the win.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada (retains the AEW International Title)

Post‑match, Callis moves in to attack Austin. Mark Davis congratulates Okada, but Juice Robinson sprints out to save his Bang Bang Gang partner. Konosuke Takeshita walks onto the stage, staring down Okada and signaling that the International Title will be his at Double or Nothing.

Swerve Strickland — Wild West Vignette

A video plays set in the Wild West, showing Bandido “Most Wanted” posters scattered around town. People have been attacked and left laying. Someone steps out of a saloon and pauses to pick up a dust‑covered Bandido poster. It’s Swerve Strickland, with Prince Nana beside him. Swerve lights the Wanted sign on fire as the screen fades to black.

Jon Moxley, Will Ospreay & The Death Riders — Training Footage

We recap the Collision footage of Jon Moxley’s offer to Will Ospreay, pushing him to become the most dangerous version of himself. We then cut to the Death Riders training. Ospreay arrives, and Moxley immediately asks if he’s been cleared. Ospreay says no — but that won’t stop him from going to Japan, because he and his boys have a big title match.

Moxley tells him loyalty like that is too good to be true. He says Ospreay needs to drop everything that clouds his vision — anything that makes him see things that aren’t there, anything that tugs at his heart, the anger that burns a hole in his stomach. All of it is excess baggage, and they don’t need it. Even Ospreay’s feelings about Moxley — drop them. They don’t need that either.

Moxley says he doesn’t promise miracles, but when he promises something, he sees it through to the very end. All he asks is the same in return. Ospreay agrees, looks over at PAC, then asks where the ring is. Moxley tells him they don’t use a ring — they start from the ground up — and shoves the camera away.

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage vs. RPG Vice (Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta)

Stokely Hathaway joins commentary for the tag match, with FTR standing beside him to get a close look at their Double or Nothing opponents. Stokely insists they have nothing to worry about — they’ve beaten Copeland and Cage before, and they’ll beat them again easily.

Romero and Cage start things off, with Romero immediately targeting Cage’s injured forearm. Cage escapes and flips off FTR. Romero goes right back to the arm before dropping Cage with a dropkick and doing his sliding celebration to the camera, which gives Cage the opening to hit a reverse DDT. Copeland tags in, and they hit a running boot/leg sweep combo for two. Romero tags Beretta, who stomps Copeland with a jumping double stomp for a near fall, but Copeland fires back with another running boot and a drop toe hold into the ropes. Cage tags in and applies his standing choke before he and Copeland land double‑team strikes, sending Beretta crashing into the barricade. Cash Wheeler distracts the referee long enough for Beretta to slam Cage’s bad forearm into the ring post.

Stokely gets up to applaud, unaware that Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong are standing behind him in the front row. Stokely swings and misses Cassidy, who dumps popcorn on him, and a brawl erupts between The Conglomeration, FTR, and Stokely as they fight out of the arena.

During the chaos, Romero clips Cage with a running knee off the apron. RPG Vice isolate Cage and work him over for an extended stretch. Romero hits a flying cross arm breaker out of the corner, takes Cage up again, but Cage spikes him with a Tornado DDT to reset the match. Copeland gets the hot tag and runs wild, planting Beretta with an Impaler for two. RPG Vice fire back with double pump knees. Beretta sets for Strong Zero, but Cage makes the save, sending Copeland into position to hit a Code Red on Beretta. Cage and Romero spill outside. Beretta leapfrogs a Copeland Spear and tries a pin with his foot on the ropes, but Rick Knox catches it. Beretta argues, turns around, and gets blasted with a pop‑up Spear from Cage and Copeland for the win.

Winners: Adam Copeland & Christian Cage

Post‑Match

Cage brings a chair into the ring and rips it apart so Copeland can lock a crossface on Beretta using part of the chair. Cage orders Beretta to say it — to quit — and Beretta pleads “I quit.” Cage mocks him, saying he would never say it, “you little b*tch.”

Copeland looks over at the AEW Tag Titles still sitting at commentary. Cage tries to leave with them, but Rick Knox manages to pull them away. Copeland, wearing a popcorn bucket on his head, runs around ringside with the other title.

Renee Paquette with Chris Jericho — Backstage (Earlier Today)

Renee Paquette is backstage with Chris Jericho and brings up Ricochet claiming The Ricosault is an improvement on The Lionsault. Jericho says imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but he’s pissed off. Before he can continue, The Demand attack from behind. Liona and Kaun hold Jericho up as Ricochet tells him there will be no more subliminal messages — if this is what Jericho wanted? Jericho fires back, telling Ricochet to eat sh*t, bald. Ricochet slams Jericho into the side of a table, then teases a Ricosault, but lands on his feet, saying Jericho isn’t worth it.

AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship — Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne & Lena Kross) vs. Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida

Renee Paquette is ringside before the match and says she spoke with Shida earlier today. Shida told her that Statlander — her good friend — has teamed with her more than Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron, and tonight they plan to win tag gold together.

Shida attacks both Kross and Bayne at the bell, but they no‑sell it. Kross drives repeated shoulders into Shida’s ribs in the corner before rag‑dolling her with a beal. Kross and Bayne hit a double shoulder tackle, then attempt a fallaway slam, but both collapse awkwardly. Shida battles back and tries a jumping knee, only to be slammed by Bayne. Visibly frustrated, Shida rolls outside, grabs her kendo stick, but Statlander stops her. Statlander pulls it away just in time for Bayne to miss a charge and post herself. Shida then kicks her own partner in the stomach and snap‑suplexes Statlander onto Bayne in the corner. Statlander gets up furious, but Bayne has already recovered. Statlander low‑bridges her to the floor, hits a spinning back elbow, and looks for Wednesday Night Fever, but Kross rolls through and kicks Statlander into the ropes, where Bayne flies in with a leaping boot. Kross hits a Hot Shot variation, and Statlander is isolated.

Statlander finally mounts a comeback with a double hurricanrana, then wipes out Bayne with a massive discus lariat. Shida and Kross tag in and trade stiff shots until Shida hits a missile dropkick. Bayne gets a cheap shot, Kross throws a thrust kick, Shida ducks, and the champs collide. Shida hits a 2‑for‑1 sliding knee. She follows with a double missile dropkick off the apron, then takes Kross back inside. Kross fires a thrust kick that sends Shida stumbling into her corner, allowing Statlander to make a blind tag. Bayne and Kross hit stereo Helluva Kicks and Bayne follows with a release German for two. Kross makes a blind tag but takes a Blue Thunder Bomb. Statlander stacks both champions and hits a 450 Splash on the pile for two.

Statlander goes for her finisher, but Shida makes another blind tag, hits a Meteora off the top, and follows with a Falcon Arrow for two. Kitana is stopped by a Bayne belly‑to‑belly suplex. Statlander hits a thrust kick but eats a flying boot/release German combo. Bayne and Kross then flatten Shida with their double chokeslam to retain the titles.

Winners: Divine Dominion

Renee Paquette with Don Callis, Andrade El Idolo & MJF — Backstage

Renee Paquette is backstage with Don Callis and Andrade El Idolo, but they’re interrupted by MJF. MJF says that thanks to Andrade, AEW is ruined. Andrade mocks him, repeating “how do you know?” while laughing until MJF shoves him. Callis steps between them and calms things down, saying Andrade is his money man, MJF is the money man, and everyone is better off when MJF is on top. He tells them to focus on business. Callis turns back to Renee and says wild horses are going to run.

Rush vs. Steven Fuerte

Fuerte offers a handshake, and Rush destroys him with a single right hand. Rush drags him to the floor and continues the beating before tossing him back inside. Rush charges and drills him with the Bulls Horns for a total slaughter.

Winner: Rush

Post‑match, Rush takes the mic and says when you mess with the bull, you get the horns.

Renee Paquette with The Opps — Backstage

Renee Paquette is backstage with The Opps in full force. She asks Samoa Joe what the game plan is moving forward. Joe says they will reassert their dominance, starting with Katsuyori Shibata, who will kick your head off; Anthony Bowens, who has always been overlooked and will show what he’s capable of; and HOOK, who will become TNT Champion this weekend. Joe then addresses Will Ospreay, saying The Opps had his back when he needed it — but now he has to make a choice.

Stokely Hathaway & FTR — Backstage

Stokely is backstage with FTR and says he just left Tony Khan’s office with a proposition for Orange Cassidy. Next week on Dynamite: Orange Cassidy vs. Dax Harwood. If Cassidy wins, he can challenge for the Tag Titles with any partner he chooses. If Harwood wins, then FTR can challenge for the Trios Titles with the man who took Darby Allin to his limit last week.

Tommaso Ciampa walks in and says the last time he teamed with FTR, he put Mark Briscoe on the shelf indefinitely — and next time, they’ll win the Trios Titles. “Top guys, out.”

AEW World Championship Darby Allin vs. Brody King

Both men shake hands at the bell, but Allin explodes out with a shotgun dropkick. He goes for a Coffin Splash, but King swats him out of the air with a chop and launches him with a release overhead German, following with his corner cannonball. Allin fights off a Gonzo Bomb and climbs, but King is right behind him, allowing Allin to hit an Avalanche Code Red for two. King rolls outside. Allin tries a tope, but bounces off King like he hit a brick wall. King sits Allin in a chair and charges, but Allin chop‑blocks him and King eats the chair. Allin sits King down and hits his signature top‑rope dropkick, leaving both men in rough shape early.

Back inside, Allin tries to start a slugfest — and King wins it decisively. King ragdolls him for multiple near falls until a running senton lands on Allin’s raised knees. King puts Allin on the top rope, chops him, and Allin crashes to the floor with a sickening splat. King follows with a brutal chokeslam on the apron. He clears the commentary table and props the top against the railing. Kevin Knight is shown watching from the crowd. Allin jumps on King’s back with a sleeper, but King runs and drives him through the table top. MJF is shown watching backstage as both men remain down.

King brings Allin up, but Allin slips free and sends King stomach‑first into the corner of the commentary table. They trade chops, climb onto the table, and King grabs his standing choke. Allin escapes and somehow hits a Code Red — the table doesn’t budge. Allin returns to the ring and, on one leg, hits his tope. He drags King inside and climbs, but King cuts him off into a Tree of Woe and crushes him with a cannonball and a home‑run lariat for two. Another running lariat turns Allin inside out, but he kicks out again. King is stunned.

Allin throws a headbutt, which only enrages King, who launches Allin over the top rope, clipping a cameraman. Allin clings to the padding as King drags him away. King charges for a cannonball, but Allin moves and King crashes through the barricade. Allin quickly exposes more concrete. King climbs to the apron, Allin slides out, and powerbombs him onto the exposed floor. Allin follows with a Coffin Drop on the concrete — the thud is audible. King barely beats the count at nine but rolls right into a Coffin Drop to the back, and Allin hits a second Coffin Drop proper for the three count.

Winner and STILL AEW World Champion: Darby Allin

Post‑Match

Kevin Knight applauds from the stands. Commentary notes he must not look past HOOK on Collision for the TNT Title — and Taz says he hopes Knight does. King recovers and shows respect to Allin before giving him the ring. Allin stares up at Knight, and their AEW World Title match is officially set for next week.
