Emily Agard Joins NXT Broadcast Team

WWE has added a new voice to its broadcast lineup, with Canadian sports host Emily Agard confirming that she has officially signed with the company.

Agard shared the news on social media, announcing that she will be part of the WWE NXT broadcast team. The move marks a transition from traditional sports media into professional wrestling, following more than four years with Sportsnet.

“Dreams do come true! SO excited and beyond grateful to be joining the @WWE broadcast team. If you know me, you know this has been a huge goal of mine and an absolute dream. I love wrestling. Cannot wait to dive right in. Let’s get to work!”

Agard’s addition continues a trend of WWE bringing in experienced broadcasters with strong ties to Sportsnet. She becomes the fourth on-air personality from the network to make the move, joining names such as Renee Paquette, Arda Ocal, and Jackie Redmond.

Her connection to WWE is not new. Agard has been open about her fandom on social media and has attended NXT tapings earlier this year. She was also involved in WWE programming during the WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 event held at the Bell Centre in Montreal, where she worked as a Social Media Ambassador and appeared across both WWE and Sportsnet digital platforms.

During her time at Sportsnet, Agard covered major sports stories, including reporting on the Toronto Blue Jays. She also hosted recurring segments such as “Misplays of the Month” and “Plays of the Month,” building a profile as a versatile on-air personality.

Her move to WWE comes after the company’s programming shift in Canada, where Sportsnet previously held exclusive broadcasting rights for a decade before WWE transitioned to Netflix in 2025.

Agard’s signing reflects WWE’s continued investment in its broadcast presentation, particularly within NXT, where new talent is introduced both in the ring and on the production side.
