National Wrestling Alliance is celebrating the audience figure for the first episode of NWA Powerrr on Comet TV.
According to the promotion, the May 2, 2026 episode drew 275,000 households, with the figure attributed to Nielsen data.

The episode marked NWA’s return to broadcast television for the first time in approximately 30 years and also served as the launch of the promotion’s new weekly Saturday time slot on Comet TV.
In a statement posted on social media, the company thanked fans for supporting the debut episode.
“THANK YOU, FANS! The numbers are in, and Nielsen reports 275,000 households tuned in to the May 2 episode of NWA POWERRR on Comet TV.”
The company also highlighted the significance of returning to broadcast television after decades away from that platform.
“The episode marked the National Wrestling Alliance’s long-awaited return to broadcast television after 30 years.”
However, some confusion emerged regarding the actual measurement being referenced.
The graphic included alongside the announcement reportedly labeled the number as “Persons 2+,” which traditionally refers to total viewers age two and older rather than households.
That created uncertainty because the written statement specifically referred to households, which represents a different television metric entirely.
Households measure how many homes tuned into a program, while total viewers measure the estimated number of individual people watching.
The NWA announcement also did not clarify whether the 275,000 figure represented the average audience across the full broadcast or the cumulative number of viewers who tuned in at any point during the show.
If the number represents an average audience of 275,000 viewers, it would significantly outperform Comet TV’s reported 2025 primetime average audience of approximately 92,000 viewers according to USTVDB data.
For comparison, the April 30 episode of TNA Impact reportedly averaged 209,000 viewers on AMC.
NWA Powerrr now airs weekly on Saturdays at 4 p.m. Eastern on Comet TV as the promotion continues rebuilding its television presence.
