Kelani Jordan Addresses the NXT Women’s Division

Kelani Jordan makes her way to the ring. She asks what a woman has to do. She walked through the doors and won a title within nine months. Last week, she beat Kendal Grey — someone people think should be in the Hall of Fame. Kelani says she’s better than all the women called up to Raw and SmackDown, and better than anyone sitting in the back right now. She’s the only person to make Lola Vice tap out, and that should have put her at the front of the line. She never got a chance at the women’s title. Instead, she had to watch women who aren’t half as athletic or talented as her fail left and right.

They talk about “potential” with her, but that’s for the girls still figuring it out. She’s already done it. It’s her time to get a shot at the women’s title. People are getting way too comfortable overlooking her. She says she’s the most talented woman in the locker room.

Izzi Dame comes out and asks if Kelani is trying to jump the line. She pinned Lola and kicked her in the head. If anyone is getting a title shot, it’s her. She tells Kelani to get to the back of the line.

Lola Vice comes out and tells them both to stop wasting everyone’s time. They have wins, but she won when it mattered — that’s why she’s champion. She tells Kelani she talks a lot about what she wants. Lola says she’s starting with Izzi. Izzi hit her in the back of the head and thought she’d get away with it. Lola will give Izzi her fifteen seconds of fame and a title match next week. Then Kelani is next.

Kendal Grey comes out and tells Lola her eyes are still on the title. Kelani says she already beat Kendal and knows exactly what Kendal is going to say. Kendal says Kelani won’t get anywhere near the title.

Wren Sinclair comes from behind and hits Kelani with a crutch. Lola takes care of Izzi and both fall to the floor.

Sarah is in the ring with Kam Hendrix and brings up the win earlier tonight, asking if he feels that puts him in line for a North American Title shot.

–– Here is what’s in store for tonight’s show ––

  • NXT Women’s North American Championship: Tatum Paxley (c) vs. Lizzy Rain
  • Tristan Angels makes NXT TV in-ring debut
  • Myles Borne & Tony D’Angelo vs. Mason Rook & Kam Hendrix
  • NXT Tag Team Championship: Vanity Project (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) (w/ Jackson Drake & Myka Lockwood) vs. DarkState (Saquon Shugars & Dion Lennox) (w/ Cutler James & Osiris Griffin)
  • Tate Wilder vs. Keanu Carver

NXT Preview – May 19, 2026

Tatum Paxley defends the Women’s North American Championship tonight in her first televised title match since beating Blake Monroe in a Casket Match on April 21. She faces Lizzy Rain, who teamed with Paxley last week to defeat Zaria and Nikkita Lyons after Zaria walked out on her partner. Later that night, Paxley told Rain she would give her a title shot. The two also spoke with Shiloh Hill about their shared issues with Tristian Angels, adding more fuel to tonight’s match.

Another title bout is set as Saquon Shugars and Dion Lennox of DarkState challenge Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor of Vanity Project for the NXT Tag Team Championship. After Jackson Drake defeated Noam Dar last Tuesday, DarkState confronted Vanity Project and demanded a title match. With tensions rising between Shugars and Lennox in recent weeks, Osiris Griffin and Cutler James stepped in and told them they would be the ones competing for the gold.

Tate Wilder looks to bounce back after costing himself, Sean Legacy, and EK Prosper a Six‑Man Tag Match last Tuesday. Wilder refused to tag out because he wanted to prove himself, and it backfired. Later that night, he asked NXT General Manager Robert Stone for a match and chose Keanu Carver as his opponent after Carver interrupted their meeting. Wilder vs. Carver is now official.

NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo teams with North American Champion Myles Borne to face Mason Rook and Kam Hendrix. Rook signed his NXT contract last Tuesday, but D’Angelo crashed the signing to send a message. Hendrix tried to attack D’Angelo from behind, but D’Angelo saw it coming. Rook then took out both men with a moonsault, setting up tonight’s tag match.

Also tonight, Tristian Angels competes in his first NXT match after appearing in videos, backstage segments, and at ringside over the last few weeks. His debut has been teased for some time, and now he finally steps into the ring.
