All Elite Wrestling featured another major title change at Double or Nothing 2026, as Konosuke Takeshita defeated Kazuchika Okada to capture the AEW International Championship.
The match carried added tension, as both men are aligned with the Don Callis Family but have shown clear friction over time. Their rivalry dates back to their previous meeting in the Continental Classic semi-final, and this latest encounter only intensified that history.
From the opening bell, both competitors wasted no time engaging in a physical battle. Takeshita attempted to set up his Raging Fire finisher early, but Okada countered and sent him crashing to the outside with a dropkick. Okada continued targeting Takeshita’s back, repeatedly driving him into the barricade and the mat.
Takeshita responded with explosive offense, including a Tope Con Hilo to the outside and a series of powerful strikes. Back inside the ring, momentum shifted frequently, with both men countering signature moves. Okada looked for the Tombstone piledriver, but Takeshita reversed into a belly-to-back piledriver, keeping the match evenly contested.
The action spilled to the apron and floor, where Okada landed a Rainmaker and followed with a DDT. As Okada appeared ready to inflict further damage, Don Callis briefly intervened, urging restraint. However, that hesitation allowed Takeshita to regain control, spiking Okada with a Brainbuster on the floor.
Back in the ring, Takeshita continued to build momentum with a superplex and a German suplex. Okada fired back with a Tombstone, but Takeshita answered with a Blue Thunder Bomb. The closing stretch saw multiple near-falls, including Takeshita hitting a Rainmaker of his own and a jumping knee strike, but Okada refused to stay down.
The match reached its conclusion when Takeshita finally connected with Raging Fire, securing the pinfall victory.
With the win, Takeshita becomes a two-time AEW International Champion, marking a significant milestone in his AEW career and further establishing himself as one of the promotion’s top competitors.
After the match, Don Callis Family turned on Takeshita following the reurn of Kyle Fletcher.
