The Cauliflower Alley Club has announced that former professional wrestler Jerry Grey, also known as “Golden Boy,” has passed away at the age of 62.

The organization shared the news in a public statement, describing Grey as both a close friend and a respected figure within the wrestling community.

“Today, I lost more than a friend… I lost a brother. Please join the Cauliflower Alley Club and I as we remember a dear friend, Jerry Grey, whos passed away at the age of 62. We send our sincerest condolences to his family and friends, rest easy old friend.”

Grey had previously revealed in 2019 that he was battling stage 4 colon cancer.

During his professional wrestling career, Grey competed across several major territories and promotions, including USWA, World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW), Jim Crockett Promotions / WCW, WWF, UWF, and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). His career spanned multiple eras of the industry and saw him work in both the United States and Japan.

Throughout his time in the ring, Grey captured several championship titles, including the NWA Bahamas Heavyweight Championship, NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Championship, and NWA Florida Tag Team Championship.

A native of Akron, Ohio, Grey initially wrestled from 1981 until 1988 before stepping away from in-ring competition. He later returned to wrestling in 2006 and remained active until 2009 before retiring permanently.

His passing marks another loss for the wrestling industry, with tributes expected from peers and promotions who worked alongside him throughout his career.
