Jacob Fatu Injury Concern Emerges Ahead Of WWE Clash In Italy Match With Roman Reigns

Jacob Fatu may be dealing with a potential injury just days before his scheduled Tribal Combat match against Roman Reigns at WWE Clash in Italy on May 31.

The concern stems from WWE’s recent live event in Liverpool, which marked the start of the company’s European tour. During the show, Fatu faced Solo Sikoa in a street fight and picked up the victory in what was described as a hard-hitting match. However, attention quickly shifted to what happened after the bout.

Fans in attendance shared observations on social media, noting that Fatu appeared to be favoring one leg as he made his way backstage. One attendee described the match as a “10/10” contest but pointed out that Fatu was limping after it ended and was met by medical personnel near the curtain. Another fan reported that Fatu seemed to land awkwardly during the match and looked to be in pain as he exited.

At this stage, there is no confirmation that Fatu has suffered a legitimate injury. Given the physical nature of a street fight, it is possible he was selling the effects of the match. Fatu has previously created similar concern with his in-ring selling, including an instance at Survivor Series WarGames 2024 where he appeared hurt but was later confirmed to be fine.

Fatu is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship under Tribal Combat rules at the Inalpi Arena in Turin. The match comes after Reigns defeated Fatu at Backlash, only for Fatu to attack him after the bell. That confrontation led to further chaos on RAW, where Fatu targeted multiple members of The Bloodline, including The Usos. Facing potential consequences, Fatu issued the Tribal Combat challenge, which Reigns accepted.

Reigns enters the match with a perfect 2-0 record in Tribal Combat stipulations, having defeated Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023 and Solo Sikoa on the RAW on Netflix premiere in 2025.

According to BetOnline odds, Reigns is currently listed as a -500 favorite to retain the championship, while Fatu is positioned as a +300 underdog heading into the match.
