Oba Femi and IYO SKY Advance in WWE King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments

WWE RAW on June 1 featured major tournament developments, as Oba Femi and IYO SKY secured key victories to move forward in the King and Queen of the Ring brackets.

Oba Femi earned his spot in the semifinals of the King of the Ring tournament after winning a Fatal 4-Way match against Solo Sikoa, Carmelo Hayes, and Penta. The finish came when Femi delivered his Fall From Grace finisher to Sikoa for the decisive pin.

The match also included outside interference, as Talla Tonga attempted to take Femi out of contention. Tonga briefly gained the upper hand, but Femi recovered and responded by throwing him onto the announce table, removing him from the situation before the closing sequence.

After the match, Femi addressed the crowd and referenced his recent clash with Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy.

“I took Brock Lesnar’s best shot at WWE Clash in Italy, and I am still standing. It’s 1-1 between me and Brock, and I will see him down the line.”

With the win, Femi now advances to the semifinals. He will face the winner of the upcoming Fatal 4-Way between Dominik Mysterio, Bron Breakker, Trick Williams, and Damian Priest.

On the women’s side, the Queen of the Ring tournament also saw its first-round action. Roxanne Perez, IYO SKY, Giulia, and Lash Legend competed in a high-paced Fatal 4-Way match.

The finish featured multiple quick sequences. Lash Legend hit her Lash Extension finisher on Giulia and went for the pin. At that moment, IYO SKY intervened with a top-rope double foot stomp onto Legend. SKY then followed up with her signature moonsault on Giulia to secure the win.

With the victory, SKY advances to the next round. She will face the winner of the upcoming match featuring Bayley, Raquel Rodriguez, Jacy Jayne, and Kiana James.

The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments finals are scheduled for WWE Night of Champions. The winner will earn a world title opportunity at SummerSlam, raising the stakes as the competition moves closer to its conclusion.
