AEW Executive Vice President, Cody Rhodes, became the first ever TNT Champion at Double Or Nothing in May. Since then, Cody has been holding TNT Championship open challenges on Dynamite every week.

As anyone can answer the challenge (including non-AEW wrestlers), Cody asked his fans on Twitter who they’d like to see him face next.

Former WWE Backstage Analyst, CM Punk, replied with the list of people he wants to see answer the open challenge.

AEW President, Tony Khan, then joined the conversation and noted what Punk said. He also tried to start a conversation with Punk on Twitter by recalling the time he saw Punk at a show.

“Duly noted. Fun facts: I saw you on a house show in Champaign on Super Bowl Sunday 13.5 years ago with Domino and Cherry (and Deuce). Also, New Jack was really really nice to me when I was a 13 year old kid visiting Philadelphia. My dad loved New Jack.”
