Sumo wrestling legend Akebono had reportedly been hospitalized in the last week, according to a report from Dave Meltzers Wrestling Observer Newsletter.The Japanesestar, who made an appearance at WrestleMania 21 in a match against Big Show was taken to hospital last Tuesday following a show in Fukuoaka, Japan for the DDT promotion.Its unknown what has happened, but we do know that Akebono has been placed in a medically induced coma and will remain in the hospital for the next couple weeks.Well update you as soon as we know more.
