WWE announced on tonight’s edition of Raw (which was pre-recorded due to taking place in London, England) that Dean Ambrose will defend the Intercontinental Championship against The Miz on next week’s broadcast. The match was originally scheduled to take place at the upcoming Raw-exclusive Extreme Rules event, but has instead been moved to next week.
As previously reported, Miz became the number-one contender for the Intercontinental Championship after defeating Finn Balor and Seth Rollins on last week’s Raw following interference from both Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt.
