7/25 NXT Results – We start off with a look back at last week when Dominik Mysterio became the North American Champion by defeating Wes Lee.

We are live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, as Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley make their way to the ring.

Rhea says just like she constantly says, THE Judgment Day runs all of the WWE.  Finn is going to be the new Heavyweight Champion and Damian Priest is Senor Money in the Bank.  Dom says that Mami is the greatest Women’s Champion.  Rhea mentions that Dom is the North American Champion.  All of the people are crying while the women are screaming.  

Dom says he finally made the Mysterio name relevant. Rhea says as for Lyra Valkyria, you want to step to her and get in her face?  It is very courageous of you.

Wes Lee’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

He says he is not taking this any more.  He is sick of seeing his North American title in Dom’s hand.  For 257 days that title mean hard work and opportuntiy.  That title made him a better person.  To lose the title the way he did, TO YOU, he wants his rematch.

Rhea says a new North American Champon is what NXT needed. Wes says they need a new North American Champion, tonight.

Mustafa Ali shows up and he interrupts.  He says he has love and respect for Wes, but you Dumb Dumb, I have no love and respect for him.  You stole the title from him.  You stole catchphrases, you stole your daddy’s 619, and your other daddy’s frog splash.  That was his title to win, but that fool dropped the ball.

Wes stops Ali and Ali tries to apologize.  Ali says he is angry and frustrated.  He was in line and Dom cuts in line.  Ali blames Wes for letting Dom have the match.  Ali tells Wes he told him not to do it.

Dom says this is a you problem.  Dom says he doesn’t care who makes it to the Bash and Rhea says he could face both of them. Dom avoids Ali but Ali hits Wes.  Wes with a double leg take down while Rhea and Dom get out of the ring. Wes and Ali push each other.

– McKenzie Mitchell is with Tony and Channing. Tony says he will never forget the reception he got from the fans. Channing says they reclaim the streets of NXT Sunday when they win the titles. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price says that they will hear their names if you win the titles on Sunday. Tony asks Bronco and Lucien if they want to make a name for themselves and he will see them tonight.

We go to commercial.

– We take a look at how we got Lyra Valkyria versus Rhea Ripley.

– Lyra is with McKenzie and she asks why did she ask for this match. Lyra says she has been here for seven months and she needs to know where she stands.  She saw what Rhea did going from NXT UK to the main roster.  She is not going to wait for anyone else in the back to prove herself.

Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid, and Rip Fowler vs. Carmelo Hayes, Trick Williams, and Ilja Dragunov

Hayes and Gacy start things off and they lock up.  Gacy with a wrist lock and take down.  Hayes with an escape.  Gacy with a leg sweep and Hayes with a leg sweep for a near fall.  Hayes with a drop kick and chop.  Trick tags in and Trick with a drop kick.  Gacy with a forearm and he tags in Rip.  Trick with punches and Rip with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.  Trick blocks a hip toss and he slams Rip.  Trick with a shoulder tackle  and a pop up uppercut.  Ilja tags in and he works on the arm and chops Rip followed by a back senton.  Ilja with punches and an Irish whip.  Ilja with a knee into the corner followed by a knee drop off the turnbuckles.  Ilja with a waist lock and RIp with a wrist lock and he backs Ilja into the corner.

Jagger tags in and misses a clothesline.  Ilja with a German suplex and he holds on for a second one.  Jagger with elbows to block a third German suplex.  Ilja with Konstantin Special and Trick tags in.  Trick with forearms and an Irish whip.  Jagger with a kick and clothesline.  Jagger punches Hayes on the apron and that draws him into the match.  Rip and Jagger go for a double suplex but Hayes blocks it and they hit springboard clotheslines.  Hayes tags in and he tries to kick Jagger but he backs away.  They lock up and Jagger with a wrist lock and Irish whip but Hayes floats over and connects with an arm drag and drop kick.  

Hayes with a side head lock and Rip tags in and kicks Hayes in the back.  Jagger sends Hayes throat first into the ropes.   Rip pulls Hayes to the floor and hot shots him on the apron.  Rip with a European uppercut and he puts Hayes on the apron and connects with an elbow to the throat.  Rip with forearms and he gets a near fall.  Rip punches Hayes and Carmelo goes to the apron.  Hayes with a shoulder and he tries for a sunset flip but Rip holds on to the ropes.  Jagger tags in and he kicks and punches Hayes.  Jagger with a reverse chin lock.  Jagger gets a near fall.  Jagger with a clothesline and he keeps Hayes from making the tag.  Jagger with a reverse chin lock.

Hayes with punchers and a kick to Jagger.  Hayes with a thrust kick and Trick tags in.  Gacy tags in and Trick with punches.  Trick with a drop kick and a jumping knee.  Trick and Gacy with a flapjack.  Trick clotheslines Gacy over the top rope and Ilja tags in and he takes care of Jagger and Rip.  Ilja goes to the floor and he goes for Torpedo Moscow on Gacy but he moves and Ilja sends Trick into the steps.  Gacy sends Ilja into the ring and Gacy goes for the handspring clothesline but Ilja with a knee.  Gacy with a waist lock and Ilja with knees.  Gacy with a Saito suplex for a near fall.  Jagger tags in and he punches Ilja.  Rip tags in and Ilja kicks Jagger and punches RIp.  Ilja with chops to Jagger and Rip.  Ilja with a kick to Jagger and Jagger with an enzuigiri while Rip holds Ilja.  They hit a power bomb and neck breaker combination.  the masked men pull Jagger and Rip off the apron while Gacy misses a splash.

Ilja sts for Torpedo Moscow but Hayes tags in and hits Nothing But Net for the three count.

Winners:  Carmelo Hayes, Ilja Dragunov, and Trick Williams

After the match, Hayes has some words for Ilja. Hayes holds Trick back from Ilja.

– We take a look at a brawl between Blair Davenport and Roxanne Perez at a convenience store.  We will see more footage later.

We go to commercial.

– We are back with a Tiffany Stratton video package.  She says that she is “IT’.  She says she is this fab at age 24 and she is nowhere near her prime.  She is the epitome of what a women’s champion is.  He is better than anyone else.  The Great American Bash is her first Pay Per View as champ and she isn’t going to lose it to a 19 year old.  Thea has a lot of energy and she might run to Texas, but she is not going to win the title.  Tiffany says she did not tap out.  Her hand grazed the mat a few times but she did not tap out.  She gave the people what they wanted by giving Thea a rematch.  It is despicable to ask for a submission match.  Bring whoever you want because after the Great American Bash, the world will revolve around her and she will still be champ.

– The North American Title Match at the Great American Bash will be a Triple Threat Match.

Von Wagner vs. Javier Bernal

Bernal with knees and punches.  Von sends Bernal into the corner and hits a splash.  Von sends Bernal into the turnbuckles and he follows with punches.  Von with a boot and punches.  Von with a uranage for the three count.

Winner:  Von Wagner

After the match, Von sees Bernal laying next to the announce table.  Von gestures that someone is going through the table and he takes the hood off.  Von power bombs Bernal through the table.

Bron Breakker attacks Von from behind.  Bron with punches and then he goes under the table and he gets a chair.  Bron swings at Von but misses on the floor.  Referees come out and take the chair and hold their arms out to stop him.  

– Gable Steveson walks in the back as we go to commercial.

– We are back and Ilja Dragunov is walking in the back.  Carmelo stops him and says things are done between them until the match. Trick shows up and pushes Ilja. Ilja says it was collateral damage and he says he is trying to show some respect.  If he comes at him, he will break Ilja. Hayes tells Trick he has him on Sunday and they need to act professional.

– Gable Steveson makes his way to the ring.

He thanks everyone in NXT.  He says many of you might not know who he is.  He says he wants to introduce himself.  He tells everyone he is Gable Steveson.  He says he is a 2020 Olympic Gold Medalist and a two time NCAA Champion.  He says he could become the first two time Olympic Gold Medalist in American history.  He could go back to college to become a three time NCAA Champion.  Or he can make his decision right now.

Gable is interrupted by Baron Corbin.  He tells him to be careful what he says.  It could determine your entire future.  Baron wants to give Gable some advice.  He tells Gable to go back to college and win another championship.  Go back to the Olympics to become a two time gold medalist.  He tells Gable not to come to NXT.  If you do, he will make Gable do something he hasn’t done before… fail.  Look where you are standing.  This is not amateur wrestling.  This ring will humble you and you will question your existence to the point where you walk up to an Olympic Gold Medalist and tell them they don’t belong.  

Baron says he has been doing this for eight years and he does not care.  This is a different game and you are swimming with sharks.  Baron says he is a great white and he is starving and he smells blood.

Gable says Baron made his decision that much easier.  Gable suggests that he face Baron in his first match at the Great American Bash.  Gable with a German suplex and an overhead belly-to-belly suplex.

– Dana Brooke and Keliani Jordan walk in the back and so does Cora Jade, as we go to commercial.

– We are back and Dom asks if it was the right thing to make a challenge for a Triple Threat match. Rhea says it was the right thing.

Dana Brooke vs. Cora Jade

Dana goes after Cora on the floor and Cora misses with her kendo stick.

The referee starts the match and Dana with punches.  Cora goes to the floor and Dana sends Cora into the ring steps before using the kendo stick.  Dana sends Cora into the apron.  Dana sends Cora over the announce table and DOWN GOES BOOKER!!!!!!!!!!!!  Dana gets a kendo stick and she gets on the announce table but Cora with a leg sweep and Dana lands hard on the announce table.  Cora grabs the kendo stick and hits Dana with it.  Cora hits Dana again.  Cora sends Dana into the apron.  Cora picks up the kendo stick again and hits Dana in the midsection.  Cora gets a second kendo stick and she sends them into the ring.  Cora gets more kendo sticks and toss them into the ring.  

Cora hits Dana in the back with a kendo stick and then she slams Dana on a group of kendo sticks.  Cora with a crossface using a kendo stick for extra damage.  Cora backs Dana into the turnbuckles and then hits her with the kendo stick.  Cora traps Dana in the corner with a kendo stick and she hits a knee.  Dana backs Cora into the turnbuckles.  Dana misses in the corner with a kendo stick.  Cora with a kick but Dana with forearms.  Dana with clotheslines.  Dana with a handspring back elbow into the corner.  Cora avoids a bulldog and hits a double underhook DDT for a near fall.

Cora brings a chair into the ring and puts Dana in it.  Cora tells Kelani to watch.  Cora tells Dana to back where she belonds.  Cora goes after Jordan and misses.  Dana with a drop toe hold onto the chair.  Dana hits Cora in the ribs with a chair and then hits her in the back with the chair.  Kelani gives Dana a special pink kendo stick and Dana hits Cora many times with it.  Dana with more kendo stick shots.  Dana gets the chair and puts it down and she puts some kendo sticks on top of the chair.  Dana with a suplex onto the chair and kendo sticks.  Dana goes up top and hits a swanton for the three count.

Winner:  Dana Brooke

– Hayes tells Ilja that Trick is not happy with the head butt and he is going to call Ilja out. Ilja says he respects their friendship and if Trick wants to call him out, Ilja will do it.  He is not looking for a match. Hayes says that Trick isn’t looking for a match. Ilja says he will break Trick tonight and he will break Hayes on Sunday.

We go to commercial.

– We are back with Charlie Dempsey training and Drew Gulak has to pull them off.  He says they are built for speed, not toughness.  Drew says this is unacceptable. Damon Kemp shows up and he says if they are looking for toughness, he is looking for a training partner.

Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo vs. Bronco Nima and Lucien Price

Scrypts joins the commentary team

Nima and Channing start things off and Nima puts Channing on the turnbuckles.  Channing with a kick but Nima with a back elbow.  Price tags in and they hit a double back elbow and Price gets a near fall.  Price misses a stomp and Lorenzo with punches.  Price goes for a slam and Channing with an uppercut.  Tony tags in and Lorenzo with a punch and Tony with a kick to the leg.  Tony with a double leg take down and he stomps on the midsection.  Tony with a punch while he has Price in a front face lock.  Price with a punch and Nima tags in.  Price with a knee to the midsection and Nima with a stomp.  Tony with a punch and kick.  Lorenzo tags in and he punches Nima.  He kicks Price and Lorenzo with a drop kick.  Tony send Lorenzo into Price and Nima with hip tosses.  Lorenzo gets a near fall.

Price tags in and Nima with a back drop and Price catches Lorenzo and then he drops Lorenzo on Nima’s knee.  Price with a clothesline into the corner for a near fall.  Price chokes Lorenzo in the roeps and Nima with a splash to the back.  Price kicks Lorenzo in the ropes and Nima gets a near fall.  

Axiom attacks Scrypts and Lorenzo kicks Scrypts to the floor.  Axiom with a suicide dive.  Price misses a splash and Tony tags in and connects with clotheslines to Price.  He suplexes Nima.  Tony with shoulder tackles and a spinebuster to PRice for a near fall.  Lorenzo sends NIma over the top rope to the floor.  Tony and Lorenzo hit Bada Bing for the three count.

Winners:  Tony D’Angelo and Channing Lorenzo

After the match, Gallus appears on the ShawnTron.  Joe tells Tony not to get too comfortable because it can change in the blink of an eye.  After Sunday, your freedom won’t mean anything because it will be Gallus Boys on Top.

– Dijak tells Eddy Thrope you survived NXT Underground and you act like you are on top.  Does that mean you think you are ready for championship contention?  I am chasing after the same gold.  I hand out justice with great conviction and reckless abandon.  That is something that you cannot beat.

We go to commercial.

– We are back and Baron Corbin versus Gable Steveson is official for the Great American Bash.

– We take a look at Blair Davenport at a convenience store filming something for social media and Roxanne Perez attacks her.   They fight around the store while someone shops and watches what is going on. Roxanne tells Blair that is a taste of what she is going to get at the Great American Bash.  She leaves the store as the police arrive. Their match will be a Weapons Wild Match.

– Lash Legend welcomes everyone to Supernova Sessions with Noam ‘Bernie’ Dar.  Oro says that Eddy Thorpe is not the guest but it is Noam Dar.

Lash says Nathan Frazer thinks he can go around calling himself the Heritage Cup Champion.  Six weeks ago, Noam was set to defend his title, but he was not medically cleared to compete.  Oro says he stepped forward to fight in Noam’s honor.  He says Nathan is a snake and a criminal and he stole the last fall to win the title.  Jakara says Nathan never beat Noam.  

Lash says they have a surprise for Noam.  THey give him a Heritage Cup and Dar pulls a Willy Wonka (not a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) recovery.

Jackson says Noam Dar is the Undisputed Heritage Cup Champion. Noam says he still the star player and the only real champion.

Nathan Frazer interrupts with Dragon Lee and his Heritage Cup.  Frazer asks if he is going insane or is he seeing double.  Lee points out that there are two heritage cups, two annoying women, and a man too delusional to see that he is not the champion.

Dar says he did not lose the title. Frazer says that just like the cup in the ring, you are a massive fraud. Dar says Frazer’s trophy is a counterfeit. Frazer says they can settle this right here and right now. Oro says there are four of them and two of you. Lee wants to know hwy would you think they came alone.

Valenina Feroz and Yulia Leon take care of Jackson and Legend.  Frazer and Lee with stereo flip dives onto Dar and Oro.

– Andre Chase pumps up Thea to get ready for her match in five days and he asks if she is ready to train.

Chase says the recruitment of Thea started three years ago.  When Thea put that hat on and chose Chase U, the entire university went insane. Duke says without him, Thea is not the next champion.  He is a friend and motivator.  He reminds us that he was there when she won her first match.

Chase says Thea can lock in that kimura from anywhere. Duke says when Thea locks in that kimura we have a new champion. Thea says miracles don’t happen every day because then they wouldn’t be miracles.  She just wants to prove people wrong.  She knows she can win and become the youngest champion in history.

We go to commercial.

– We are back with a look at Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza arguing in the Most Dangerous Parking Lot in Sports Entertainment.  Carrillo tells Angel to listen to him and he asks if they are chasing women or glory.  Humberto walks away.

Rhea Ripley vs. Lyra Valkyria

They lock up and Rhea backs Lyra into the corner and gives a clean break.  Lyra with a side head lock and Rhea blocks a take down.  Lyra with a waist lock and Rhea with an elbow and side head lock.  Rhea with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.  Lyra with a dive and it takes Rhea down.  Lyra walks over Rhea.  Rhea misses a boot and Lyra with a victory roll for a near fall.  Rhea with a kick to the midsection and a forearm to the back.  Rhea sends Lyra into the turnbuckles.  Rhea with a chop.  Rhea with an Irish whip and Lyra floats over and goes through the legs.  Lyra with a head scissors take down.  Rhea with a wheelbarrow into a German suplex.  Rhea drop kicks Lyra to the floor.

Rhea sends Lyra into the apron and then back into the ring.  Rhea works on the back.  Lyra gets her knees up to stop Rhea and she connects with a shoulder to the midsection and forearms.  Rhea with a kick and she chokes Lyra in the ropes.  Lyra drops Rhea on the top rope.  Rhea kicks Lyra when she returns to the ring.  Rhea with a kick and a forearm to the lower back.  Rhea with another forearm to the lower back.  Rhea goes for a third one and Lyra goes for a back slide.  Lyra gets to her feet.  Rhea with a kick and she stomps on the feet.  Rhea sends Lyra face first to the mat and gets a near fall.  Rhea sets for RipTide but Lyra counters into a rear naked choke and sleeper.  Rhea backs Lyra into the corner and snap mares her off.  Rhea with a head butt and Lyra is down.

Rhea goes up top for a frog splash but Lyra recovers and kicks Rhea and sends her to the floor.  Lyra with a drop kick through the ropes but Dom pushes Rhea out of the way and takes the drop kick.  Lyra with a head scissors on the floor.  Lyra goes up top and Rhea catches Lyra and she tries for a suplex but Lyra counters into a DDT.  Lyra goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall.  Lyra with a spinning back heel kick and a shoulder to the midsection.  Lyra with an enzuigiri and round kicks.  Lyra with a drop kick to the knees but she misses a spinning back kick.  Lyra lands on her feet on a suplex attempt.  Lyra goes for a springboard move and Rhea with a kick.

Rhea with RipTide for the three count.

Winner;  Rhea Ripley

After the match, Rhea tells Lyra to show her and beat Jacy Jayne.

– Trick Williams walks in the back.

We go to commercial.

– We are back and there will be an eight person tag match on the Great American Bash Kickoff Show.

– Trick Williams comes out and he tells Ilja that Melo will take care of business on Sunday and put your jersey in the rafters.  Tonight is about the two of them and he wants Ilja to come out for a fight.

Ilja makes his way to the ring and Trick with a drop kick and forearms to the back.  Trick sends Ilja into the ringside barrier a few times.  Trick iwth punches and forearms.  Trick with a slam and he sends Ilja into the ring steps.  Trick comes off the steps and is met with a round kick.  Ilja with a Geman suplex on the floor followed by two more.  Ilja sends Trick into the ring and he chops Trick many times.  Ilja with more chops to Trick.  Trick grabs Ilja’s foot and Ilja with a falling forearm to Trick.  Ilja sets for a second one and hits it.  Ilja picks up Trick and drops him into the corner and puts him against the turnbuckles.  He tells Trick that he wanted this.

Ilja with Torpedo Moscow but it is on Carmelo Hayes.

Ilja holds the title belt and he tells Carmelo that he is a man of honor.  Loyalty is rare these days.  Hold on to your friendship with Trick because he will be all you have left after he takes Carmelo’s NXT Championship.
