8/14 WWE RAW Results – We are live from the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, as The Judgment Day make their way to the ring, except Finn Balor.

Rhea welcomes everyone to Raw.  She says things haven’t been going their way lately.  Priest says at SummerSlam, Finn should have walked out as the World Champion.  Priest says they should have won their match last week.  Communication has been an issue, but as long as he is Senor Money in the Bank, they will dictate what happens here.  Tonight, Finn will take care of Cody Rhodes because Finn is one of the most dominant people in WWE.  He says Finn should be out here saying this.  He says they are not going to break up, but Finn should be here.

Rhea tries to stop Priet but Priest says everyone sees that there are problems with THE Judgment Day.  Where is Finn Balor?

JD McDonagh’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Priest says that JD has something to say, but be careful what comes out of your mouth.

JD says he does not want to insult the strongest faction in all of WWE.  He asks to enter the ring and he says he has a message for them from Finn.  He says Finn told him to say that they shouldn’t worry about his friendship with Finn but to worry about Cody and Sami.

Rhea says she does not take orders from anyone, especially someone not part of The Judgment Day.

Dom tells JD they have it locked down.  He says that Priest is a future World Champion while he is the North American Champion.  Dom says he just found out that Canada is part of North America so he is champion of this dump. He tells JD to go to the back so they can handle their business.

JD says he was just giving a message. Rhea says they have a message for JD to give to Finn.  She says that they need to talk.

Sami Zayn interrupts.   Sami and JD exchange punches in the aisle and Sami with punches against the apron.  JD tries to get in the ring and seek help from The Judgment Day but they stand there and do nothing.  Sami with more punches and then Sami gets on the apron.  Sami goes back to the floor and he keeps JD from getting in the ring.  

JD pulls Sami’s arm into the ring post.  JD sends Sami shoulder first into the ring post while The Judgment Day walk away.

We go to commercial.

Sami Zayn vs. JD McDonagh

Sami with punches and he goes to the turnbuckles and connects with an elbow to the top of the head.  Sami with a punch and Irish whip followed by a back body drop.  Sami chases JD around the ring and then when they return to the ring, Sami gives JD a monkey flip.  JD hits Sami in the elbow and the referee checks on him.  JD with kicks to the arm.  JD with a wrist lock and he leaps over the top rope to the floor and drops the arm on the top rope.  JD removes the tape on the elbow and he hyper-extends the arm.  JD slams Sami’s elbow into the mat.  Sami with chips and punches.  JD is sent over the top rope to the floor.  Sami goes to the floor after JD and connects with a clothesline.

JD with a wrist lock and he goes over the ringside barrier and drops the arm on the ringside barrier.  JD with a knee drop to the arm on the announce table.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Sami is on the turnbuckles and he connects with forearms.  Sami head butts JD off the turnbuckles and he comes off the turnbuckles into a drop kick and JD gets a near fall.  Sami leaps over JD and connects with a clothesline.  Sami with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.  JD with elbows to Sami and hits a Spanish Fly for a near fall.  JD with a crossface.  Sami rolls to the ropes to force a break.  JD with kicks to the shoulder and Sami with an exploder into the turnbuckles.  

Finn Balor makes his way down the aisle.

FInn charges to the ring but stops short of the apron.  

JD with an O’Connor Roll for a near fall.  JD with a head butt and he goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault but Sami gets his boots up.  Sami knocks Finn off the apron and Sami with a Helluva Kick for the three count.

Winner:  Sami Zayn

After the match, Sami gets out of the ring before Finn can get to him.

Backstage:

Adam Pearce is with Chelsea Green. Adam reminds Chelsea that Sonya is injured and is out of action.  He says as much as it pains him, he… Chelsea tells Adam not to say it and she says he is predictable.  She says she is not going to throw this away.  Chelsea says she is going to call her manager, no she is going to call Human Resources.

Adam asks Chelsea for her idea. Chelsea says she would hold auditions for her tag team partner and then they will defend the titles. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter enter and they say as soon as Chelsea finds a new partner… Piper Niven attacks Kayden and Katana and then tells Chelsea she is her new partner.

Chelsea says she was going to do auditions but… Piper tells Chelsea she is her new partner and they walk out of the office.

– Imperium make their way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Backstage:

We are back and Byron Saxton is with Cody Rhodes. Byron asks Cody about his match against Finn Balor and if he thinks Finn is a loose cannon.

Cody says he admires Finn.  He was a leader in Ireland, Japan, and here.  The Judgment Day is looking for supremacy in the WWE, but he is not the only leader.  You have Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley.  Then you have Dom, and he is the submissive but a champion.  Cody says he will be ready for Finn Balor.  He says he hasn’t wrestled in Winnipeg in years and he will be ready for Finn and THE Judgment Day.

In The Arena:

Gunther is on the announce table while Vinci and Kaiser stand on the floor next to the table.

Gunther says on the journey of building the legacy of being the greatest Intercontinental Champion, he has arrived in Winnipeg.  As a European, he always looks forward coming to Canada.  Walking around the streets today, he understands why it is called the armpit of Canada.  He says he is here to address the next Number One Contender for his title, Chad Gable.  He says he has to be honest.  He was impressed with Chad’s victory last week.  He has been working hard for years.  He is a former Olympian and one of the best athletes in the company.  Gunther says he has accomplished more in a year than Chad has in his career.  You think Chad is a threat to take his title.  That is ridiculous.

Chad Gable SHOOOOOSHES his way down the aisle with Otis and Maxxine.

Chad says two weeks ago, you put time on the clock and said you couldn’t last five minutes with you but I did and beat you at your own game.  It is funny because now you are on the clock.  You are weeks away from setting the record for longest reigning Intercontinental Champion.  There is one thing standing in your way.  It is a guy who has been waiting for an opportunity for ten years.  That is Chad Gable nipping at your heels and chasing you for that Intercontinental Championship.    You will get to hold on to that for another 24 hours because tonight it is him and Giovanni.

Chad tells Giovanni to get his beautiful bald head in the ring to get a few lessons from Chad Gable.

Kaiser tells Chad no.  He says first of all, Giovanni belongs to the creme de la creme of what WWE has to offer.  He will prove exactly that tonight when he is going to embarrass you.  Just like, he embarrassed your freak friend last week.  Kaiser says eventually you, Maxxine will have to understand that you should surround yourself with some European elegance.  Took at look each of us.  That is exactly what he likes to call A Plus Aesthetics.  The Alpha Academy is a sinking ship.  Don’t worry Maxxine, he says he is here to reach out his hand to her.  You can take it and let him save you or you are going to let that 360 pound anchor drag you all the way down until you become what they already are… an absolute embarrassment.

Maxxine slaps Kaiser.

Giovanni Vinci vs. Chad Gable

They lock up and Vinci backs Gable into the corner and he pushes Chad.  They lock up and Vinci with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.   Vinci with a wrist lock.  Gable with an escape and drop toe hold into an arm bar.  Vinci with a slam.  Vinci with forearms to the back followed by a chop.  Vinci with a belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  Chad with chops but Vinci with an Irish whip that sends Gable sternum first into the turnbuckles followed by a Northern Lariat for a near fall.  Vinci with a back breaker for a near fall.  Vinci with punches and kicks but Chad punches back.  Vinci with a chop and Chad goes down.  Vinci puts Chad on the turnbuckles but Chad with an arm bar in the ropes.  Vinci gets Gable on his shoulders but Gable escapes.  Vinci avoids a German suplex and Chaos Theory but Gable with a German suplex and Vinci lands on his chest.

Vinci with chops.  Vinci misses a chop and Gable with forearms and knees.   Chad with a running neck breaker but he misses a moonsault but lands on his fet.  Vinci with a Finlay Slam and a moonsault for a near fall.  Vinci goes for a power bomb and Gable lands on his feet and hits Chaos Theory for the three count.

After the match, Gunther says this is not how it ends tonight.  If this is the armpit of Canada, you are the armpit of humanity.  Gunther challenges Otis to a match right now… After a commercial.

Gunther vs. Otis

Otis jiggles before locking up with Gunther.  They lock up and Gunther backs Otis into the corner.  Gunther pie faces Otis and he says something to Otis.  Otis pushes Gunther.  Gunther with a chop.  Gunther with a kick and Otis rejiggles.  Gunther with a side head lock and shoulder tackle but Otis bounces off the ropes and then does a barrel roll.  Gunther with a boot to the head and more kicks.  Otis with chops but Gunther chops back.  Gunther with punches.  Otis with an Irish whip and clothesline but Gunther stays on his feet.  Otis misses a forearm and Gunther with an elbow to the nose.  Gunther with another elbow.  Gunther chokes Otis while he argues with Chad.

Gunther with a boot to the head followed by a chop.  Gunther with another chop and Otis shimmies.  Otis with forearms as he goes windmill on Gunther.  Gunther with a boot and Otis with a back fist.  Gunther with a shoulder and clothesline but Otis stays on his feet.  Otis with a clothesline and Gunther stays on his feet.  They go back and forth with shoulders.  Otis with a fallaway slam to Gunther and then the shirt comes off for the Caterpillar but Gunther with a boot and a second boot to the head.  Gunther with a power bomb for the three count.

Winner:  Gunther

After the match, Gable gets in the ring and gives Gunther a German suplex.

Backstage:

We are in the back with The Judgment Day. Damian says Finn can’t bother to be with family but he can hang out with his friend. Rhea tells them to shut up and that everyone wants to see them crumble.  No one is scared of them.  They have accomplished so much but they are losing their killer instinct.

JD McDonagh shows up and Priest tells him to leave. Finn says he will talk to JD later. FInn says they need to make things right.  Cody will not know what hits him tonight. Priest says it is time to take care of Judgment Day business.

– We are back with a look at what happened on Smackdown among the members of The Bloodline. Michael and Wade talk about Jey Uso’s status and how he has been moved to the Alumni page.

Backstage:

Jackie Redmond talked to Drew McIntyre earlier today.  She asks what is next for him.

Drew is stopped by Matt Riddle before he can say anything. Riddle says it is good to have a bro with you to make you better.  Riddle says he is looking for a new tag team partner.  He mentions the Viking Raiders made an open challenge.  He asks Drew if he wants to be his partner. Drew stops Riddle from talking and he says if Riddle can’t find a tag partner, he will consider it. Riddle says that means there is a chance as Drew walks away.

We go to commercial.

– We are back with Indi Hartwell and she has struggled to figure out who she is.  She says doubt kills more dreams than failure.  She says she was put on this Earth to achieve greatness.  She says she came from Australia for this moment, right here and right now.

The Viking Raiders vs. Matt Riddle and Drew McIntyre

Before the referee can ring the bell to start the match, Drew McIntyre joins Riddle to be his partner.

Ivar and Riddle start things off and Riddle with strikes but Ivar with a shoulder tackle.  Ivar tosses Riddle into the turnbuckles and Erik tags in for a series of kicks.  Erik with a forearm or two.  Erik sends Riddle into the corner and Riddle with forearms to Erik and Ivar followed by a kick to Erik and a Pele Kick.  Riddle with running forearms to Erik and an exploder.  Ivar tags in and Riddle with a knee to send Ivar to the floor.  Riddle goes for a running kick to Erik but Erik blocks it and Erik trips Riddle on the apron and then feeds Riddle to Ivar for a seated splash on the floor.

We are back and Riddle with punches and he tries to make the tag but Erik stops him.  Ivar tags in and he connects with lawnmower elbows in the corner.  ivar gets a near fall.  Erik tags in and they connect with forearms.  Erik with a knee to the head for a near fall.  Riddle with a suplex and both men are down.  Ivar tags in and so does Drew.  Drew with a shoulder tackle and clotheslines.  Drew with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex to Erik followed by neck breakers to Ivar and Erik.  Drew with a kick to Ivar but Ivar stops a Future Shock and backs Drew into the corner.  Drew with an elbow but Ivar with a knee to the midsection.  Drew with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.

Ivar with a back elbow and Erik tags in.  Drew clotheslines Ivar over the top rope and Drew brings Erik into the ring.  Drew sets for the Claymore but Ivar gets on the apron to stop Drew.  Erik with a knee.  Riddle and Ivar tag in and Erik and Ivar hit a springboard clothesline and wheelbarrow suplex combination for a near fall.  Erik tags in and Riddle with a knee to Erik and then he escapes from Ivar.  Drew tags in and gives Ivar a head butt.  Erik with an exploder to Drew.  Riddle with a head scissors to send Erik over the top rope.  Riddle with a twisting Asai Moonsault onto Ivar.  Erik hits Riddle from behind and Drew with a Claymore for the three count.

Backstage:

Candice and Indi are in the locker room and Raquel shows up and says she tried to get cleared but they won’t do it.  She says she is looking forward to taking care of Rhea.  Candice tells Raquel she will get her chance.  Raquel tells Indi it is her time to show everyone.

Backstage:

We are back and Matt and Drew walk in the back. Riddle says they are going to become tag team champions. Drew tells Riddle not to go so fast.  

The New Day show up and complain about Riddle talking about the tag titles.

Kofi says they aren’t a team and they aren’t friends.  Do you think you are eligible for the tag titles?  Woods says they leave for a few months and things are going crazy.  Kofi says he knows how to settle this.  THe New Day against Drew and Riddle next week.

Riddle tells Drew he has this and they accept the match.

Rhea Ripley vs. Indi Hartwell (with Candice LeRae)

Rhea with a forearm as the bell rings to start the match.  Rhea tosses Indi to the mat by the hair a few times.  Rhea with punches.  Rhea with a punch in the corner followed by an Irish whip.  Rhea with a running shoulder into the corner.  Rhea with chops in the corner.  Rhea with an Irish whip and Indi moves when Rhea charges into the corner.  Rhea hits the ring post and Indi with forearms and punches.  Indi with a spinebuster for a near fall.  Indi with an uppercut and Rhea goes to the floor.  Indi follows after Rhea and gets Rhea on her shoulders.  Rhea gets back to her feet and Rhea sends Indi into the ring post.  Rhea picks up Indi and runs her into the ring post.

Rhea sends Indi back into the ring and Rhea goes back to the floor and hits Candice with a running forearm.  Indi with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Rhea with a head butt and RipTide for the three count.

After the match, Candice attacks Rhea and Indi with a flapjack.  Candice with a back senton and they leave the ring.

– We take a look back at what happened last week between Shinsuke Nakamura and Seth Rollins.

– Shinsuke Nakamura makes his way to the ring as we go to commercial.

– We are back and Finn Balor is stretching in the back and Damian Priest shows up to give him his jacket and motivate him.

In the Arena:

Back in the ring, Michael Cole has joined Nakamura. Cole mentions the respect that Nakamura had for Seth and wants to know why did he attack Seth last week.

Nakamura answers in Japanese, then he says he wants the World Title.

Cole asks if Nakamura had to kick Seth in the head. Nakamura answers in Japanese again. He says he will win the World Title…

Seth Rollins’ music plays and interrupts Nakamura.

While Seth makes his way to the ring, Cole rejoins Wade at the announce table.

Seth tells Cole he did a great job and he will take it from there.

Seth says he has to hand it to Nakamura.  He played it to perfection.  You set him up and knocked him out.  All in the name of the World Championship.  That seems too obvious.  You aren’t telling us the entire truth.  Seth says he is not hard to find.  Seth says every week, he stands in the center of this ring, dressed to the nines with the title around his waist while the world sings his song.

Seth says he is a fighting champion.  Until last week, he had the utmost respect for Nakamura.  All you had to do was ask for a title match.  You didn’t ask.  You kicked him in the face.  Everyone has been asking Why Shinsuke?  

Seth says he is less concerned with why and more concerned with how he can get even.  Seth says he has a surprise.  You win.  Seth says the best way to get what he wants is to give Nakamura what he wants.  If your ambush was a challenge, then challenge accepted.  Seth cackles and then says they will meet for the title.  He tells Nakamura to name the time and place and he will be there to kick his ass.

Seth says now that they have what they want, give them what they want and he tells Nakamura to grow a set, shake his hand, get out of his ring, and let Winnipeg sing.

Nakamura shakes Seth’s hand and Seth says something to Nakamura.  Nakamura whispers something in Seth’s ear and Seth looks confused, really confused.

Nakamura leaves the ring but returns and hits Kinshasa.

– We take a look at the issues between Miz and LA Knight.

Backstage:

Byron Saxton is with The Miz.  He asks about last week’s altercation. Miz asks if Byron is talking about the verbal destruction. Byron says LA shook his hand. Miz asks Byron if he is an LA Knight guy now?  Do you think because he beat Top Dolla on Smackdown that he is somebody.  Miz yells at Byron and he says next week, he will beat somebody bigger, faster, and stronger than any opponent LA Knight has faced.  He says he might even show up on Smackdown.

– Trish Stratus makes her way to the ring as we go to commercial.

Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch

Becky and Trish circle each other before locking up.  They exchange punches and Becky runs Trish into the corner and connects with shoulders.  Becky sends Trish into the turnbuckles a few times.  Becky kicks Trish in the corner and the referee pulls him out of the corner.  Trish with punches and she head butts Becky.  Trish with chops.  Trish winds up for a chop but Becky blocks it.  Trish with elbows but she misses a round kick.  Becky with a T-Bone suplex and a baseball slide that sends Trish into the announce table.  Becky with a forearm off the apron.

Becky sends Trish into the ring but Trish leaves the ring and Becky chases after her until Trish connects with a clothesline.  Trish pulls Becky to the floor and runs Becky into the ringside barrier.  Becky sends Trish into the apron a few times.  Becky sends Trish back into the ring.  Becky avoids a shoulder and Becky with kicks.  Trish’s mask comes off and the referee stops Becky.  Trish stops Becky on the turnbuckles and sets for a handstandcanrana but Becky blocks it.  Trish with punches.  Trish with the handstandcanrana for a near fall.  Trish sends Becky to the floor.  Becky with a kick to Trish but Trish sends Becky into the ring post.  Trish takes off her mask and Becky stops Trish from using it.  Becky grabs Trish by the hair and then Trish drops Becky on the ropes and kicks Becky.

Trish goes up top and takes a bow.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Becky with punches and a back heel kick.  Becky with clotheslines and a leg lariat.  Becky with a running forearm into the corner followed by a springboard side kick.  Becky sends Trish to the apron and Becky with forearms.  Becky goes to the turnbuckles and hits a leg drop to the back of the head for a near fall.  Becky waits for Trish to get up and she tries for a uranage but Trish counters with a victory roll for a near fall.  Trish with a spear for a near fall.  Trish sets for Stratusfaction but Becky pushes her away.  Trish with punches to Becky and she goes to the turnbuckles for a tornado DDT but Becky blocks it and puts Trish on the turnbuckles again.  Becky with a forearm and Trish fires back.

Becky sets for a superplex and hits it.  Becky gets a near fall.  Trish goes into the crowd and Becky stops her. Trish sends Becky over the ringside barrier and Trish follows but Becky with a forearm.  The referee gets to ten and calls for the bell.

Double Count Out

After the match, Becky and Trish continue to fight up the aisle. Trish and Becky fight into the concourse. Thankfully people wait for the brawl to continue in their area. Becky sends Trish into a merchandise stand. Trish sends Becky’s head into the merchandise stand. Trish throws stuff at Becky. Becky sets for a uranage on the merchandise stand but someone in a hoodie and hat attacks Becky and it is Zoey Stark. Trish kicks Becky.

– Cody Rhodes stretches in the back as we go to commercial.

Backstage:

Imperium are in the back and Kaiser is yelling in German. Gunther says he has heard enough.  Tonight was an embarrassment.  What should he do with Gio?  You have been a disappointment since coming to Raw.  He tells Kaiser he is not fulfilling his duties by focusing on that woman.  Kaiser says he will not let this happen again.  He says he will go to Adam Pearce. Gunther says he will go to Adam Pearce and if Chad Gable wants to take his title from him, he will do it next week.

Backstage:

Trish and Zoey walk in the back and Jackie stops them. Adam Pearce wants to know what that was. Adam says that they have promised Becky and Trish but it has been messed up.  He says they will meet again and it will take place in a steel cage.

We go to commercial.

– We are back and next week Drew McIntyre and Matt Riddle face The New Day.  Chad Gable faces Gunther for the Intercontinental Title.  

Cody Rhodes vs. Finn Balor 

They lock up and go to a stalemate.  They lock up and Finn with a side head lock.  Finn blocks a hip toss and he gives Cody a hip toss for a near fall.  Finn with an arm bar into a wrist lock.  Cody with a reversal into a hammer lock.  Finn with a back elbow and he sets for a suplex but Cody counters into a delayed gourdbuster.  Cody catches Finn on a leap frog and Finn rakes the eyes and he tries to send Cody over the top rope to the floor but Cody skins the cat and hits a side Russian leg sweep and gets a near fall.  Cody with punches to Finn.  Finn with an Irish whip and Cody floats over and goes for a sunset flip but Finn rolls through and hits a drop kick because you don’t give Finn a sunset flip.

Finn with punches to the midsection followed by a chop.  Finn avoids a chop from Cody and connects with another chop.  Finn with shoulders in the corner.  Finn with a snap mare and drop kick to Cody for a near fall.  Finn with an elbow to the bridge of the nose followed by a snap mare and forearm to the back of the head.  Finn with a reverse chin lock.  Finn with a knee to the midsection followed by a chop.  Cody with a knee to the midsection and then he sets for a kick to the solar plexus.  Cody with a double leg take down and Finn kicks Cody to the floor when Cody goes for a figure four leg lock.

Dominik comes to the ring and Cody kicks him.  Balor with a baseball slide when Cody goes for a gourdbuster on the floor.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Balor with kicks to Cody while Rhea and Dom provide him with encouragement.  Balor with a side head lock.  Cody tries to escape and Finn with a knee to the midsection.  Finn runs into a boot and he punches Balor.  Cody with jabs but Finn with a kick before the Bionic Elbow.  Cody floats over and hits a power slam.  Cody with Beautiful Disaster for a near fall.  

Damian Priest makes his way to the ring to watch and he has his briefcase.  

Cody sets for CrossRhodes but Balor reverses.  Cody drops down and hits an uppercut.  Finn with sling blade.  Cody with a kick and Finn with a reverse DDT for a near fall.  Finn sets for a running drop kick and sends Cody into the turnbuckles.  Finn misses Coup de Grace and Cody sets for CrossRhodes but Finn counters with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Cody with a CodyCutter but Balor rolls to the floor.

Cody sets for CrossRhodes but Balor reverses.  Cody drops down and hits an uppercut.  Finn with sling blade.  Cody with a kick and Finn with a reverse DDT for a near fall.  Finn sets for a running drop kick and sends Cody into the turnbuckles.  Finn misses Coup de Grace and Cody sets for CrossRhodes but Finn counters with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Cody with a CodyCutter but Balor rolls to the floor.  Priest trips Cody when the referee was not looking.  Cody sends Balor to the floor in front of Priest.  Cody with a suicide dive to Priest and Balor.  Cody sends Finn back into the ring.

Rhea gets on the apron to distract the referee and Dom crotches Cody on the turnbuckles.  Finn punches Cody and sets for a superplex.  Balor gets a near fall.  The referee checks on Cody and Dom gives Finn a chair but the referee takes it and warns Finn.  Rhea distracts the referee while Priest tosses the briefcase to Balor but it goes through his legs like he was Bill Buckner.  Cody hits Balor with the briefcase and then hits CrossRhodes for the three count.

Winner:  Cody Rhodes

After the match, Dom and Priest attack Cody.

Sami Zayn’s music plays and he has a chair.  Sami hits Priest in the aisle and then he hits Dom and Balor with the chair. JD McDonagh stops Sami and hits him with a forearm.

Priest and Balor kick Sami.  Priest with South of Heaven to Cody. Balor goes up top and hits Coup de Grace on Cody.   Priest and Balor send Sami to the floor for Rhea and Dom to kick Sami.  Balor with a double stomp off the ring steps to Sami. Priest and Balor adjust the announce table.  Finn gives Sami to Priest and Priest with a Razor’s Edge to Sami through the table.

Finn returns to the ring to hit Coup de Grace on Cody.

The Judgment Day celebrates as we go to credits.
