Impact Announces New TV Taping Schedule, Upgraded Facility, Vegas Strip Debut, and More

Impact Announces New TV Taping Schedule – A recent report from PWInsider has unveiled IMPACT Wrestling’s plans for 2024, indicating a series of significant changes and upgrades to various aspects of the promotion.

Production Enhancements:

IMPACT is embarking on substantial upgrades to its production facility, Skyway Studios in Nashville. These upgrades are designed to introduce cutting-edge technology to enhance the quality of their weekly shows and pay-per-view specials. The renovations will necessitate changes in editing and production procedures.

Timeline:

The process of implementing these upgrades is expected to take approximately a month, followed by additional time for staff members to become acquainted with the new system. This suggests a temporary hiatus from regular production.

Revised TV Taping Schedule:

Due to the aforementioned upgrades, IMPACT will be adjusting its TV taping schedule for the remainder of the year. Conventional TV tapings will be substituted with tapings conducted at live events, likely until the beginning of 2024.

Talent Utilization:

Given the revised schedule, fewer talents will be utilized for the rest of the year following the Bound for Glory event. Anthem, the parent company of IMPACT, plans to provide compensation to day-rate talent for additional days to offset the reduction in dates.

European Live Events:

IMPACT intends to film TV content during its European live events in Coventry, Newcastle, and Glasgow. This strategic move will generate several weeks’ worth of content while enhancing the experience for attendees of live events.

Special Tapings:

In November, a throwback taping with an 80s-style theme will take place in Toronto. Additionally, IMPACT will collaborate with AAA for a joint show in Mexico during the same month.

PPV Locations:

The December Final Resolution 2023 pay-per-view will occur in Toronto, and the 2024 Hard to Kill pay-per-view is set to be held in Las Vegas for the first time at a venue directly situated on the Vegas Strip. This diverges from IMPACT’s usual Vegas venue at Sam’s Town Live, located off the Strip.

Future Prospects:

The promotion is projected to fully reintegrate its complete roster in 2024, anticipating a successful year following the conclusion of this transformative process.
