A recent report from PWTorch suggested WWE is under the impression that Edge is headed to AEW after the company turned down his outlined requests that would sway him to re-sign with WWE. Wherever Edge ends up, though, Gewirtz is eager to see Edge and Christian work together again in some capacity.
“I think [the decision comes down to] whatever Edge is feeling right now. As a fan, I’d love to see him and Christian [reunite] … They’re definitely different, very vastly different, characters currently, right now, but I’d still, as a fan, love to see them work together at AEW, WWE, some weird independent show, whatever it is,” Gewirtz said.
Christian Cage is currently a key player in AEW, standing alongside TNT Champion Luchasaurus, who will defend the title against Darby Allin at Sunday’s All Out pay-per-view.
