Although the participants for this intriguing bout have yet to be confirmed, the match is expected to showcase a roster of 12 to 14 competitors, each vying for a chance to secure one of the coveted briefcases suspended above the ring.

The rules of the Feast or Fired match are distinct and captivating. Wrestlers must grab a briefcase attached to a pole on each ring post, but to claim a case, they must then leave the ring, ensuring both feet touch the floor. The contents of the cases are kept secret until a subsequent episode of IMPACT, revealing contracts that grant opportunities for title shots, including the IMPACT World Title, the IMPACT X-Division Title, and the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles. These contracts are characterized by their flexibility, allowing the holders to exercise their title shots at any time and place. Intriguingly, one case holds a “pink slip,” indicating that the wrestler securing it will be fired from the company. Prior to the cases being opened, each wrestler has the choice to keep their case, thus potentially forgoing a title shot to avoid being fired. Additionally, competitors can defend their cases similar to defending a championship.

This marks the eighth Feast or Fired match in IMPACT Wrestling history, showcasing the innovative approach the promotion has taken to create engaging and suspenseful storylines. The most recent Feast or Fired match took place during January 13, 2018, Impact tapings, set to air in March of that year. The participants included notable names like Eli Drake (now known as LA Knight), Petey Williams, EC3, Moose, and others.

The 1000th episode of IMPACT Wrestling, scheduled for Thursday, September 14, is expected to be a momentous occasion for the company. Set to be taped on Saturday, September 9, the event will take place at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY.
