Spoiler on The NXT Global Heritage Invitational – The NXT Global Heritage Invitational is now in progress, and an interesting development has surfaced regarding its coverage, as now we know that the entire tournament will not air on the main NXT TV show.

The recent post-Heatwave episode of NXT showcased the commencement of the eight-man Round Robin-style tournament. The first Group A match witnessed Butch securing victory over Charlie Dempsey, earning 2 points through a pinfall win. In the inaugural Group B bout, Joe Coffey emerged triumphant against Nathan Frazer, also gaining 2 points from a pinfall victory.

In Group A, Tyler Bate is set to face Axiom, while Group B will feature a match between Akira Tozawa and Duke Hudson. However, the Bate vs. Axiom match will not occur on the next episode as Bate is scheduled to battle Dabba-Kato. Meanwhile, the Tozawa vs. Hudson match was taped during the NXT Level Up tapings and is set to air on an upcoming Friday night.

WWE has yet to confirm the dates for the following matches: Butch vs. Bate, Butch vs. Axiom, Dempsey vs. Bate, Dempsey vs. Axiom in Group A, and Frazer vs. Tozawa, Frazer vs. Hudson, Coffey vs. Tozawa, and Coffey vs. Hudson in Group B.

All matches in the Invitational are subject to a 12-minute time limit. Participants secure 2 points for a pinfall or submission victory, while a draw result grants each wrestler 1 point.

The victor of Group A (the wrestler with the highest points) will square off against the Group B winner (the wrestler with the highest points) on the September 26 episode of NXT, which is the No Mercy go-home show. The winner of this match will earn the coveted position as the new #1 contender to NXT Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar. This coveted Cup match is scheduled to take place on September 30 at the NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event in Bakersfield, CA.
