Tony Khan Addresses Jack Perry Suspension

Tony Khan Addresses Jack Perry Suspension – During the AEW All Out media scrum, All Elite President Tony Khan confirmed that Jack Perry has been suspended indefinitely following the altercation with CM Punk at All In. As a result of this suspension, Perry has not made any appearances in AEW since the incident. The suspension left many fans and wrestling enthusiasts wondering when, or if, Perry would return to the promotion.

“He’s been suspended indefinitely. We’ve suspended everybody in that investigation and took further action after that based on what happened and came out of the investigation. We suspended Jack as a participant in an incident backstage, and Jack hasn’t been around. That’s all I can say about it. At the time, we did suspend him and he hasn’t been at AEW since AEW All In,” said Khan.

The specific duration of Jack Perry’s suspension remains uncertain, and AEW, nor Tony Khan, have provided a timeline for his potential return to the ring. This uncertainty has added an element of intrigue to the situation, as fans eagerly await updates regarding Perry’s status within the company.

Tony Khan was also asked if there was a non-compete clause attached to Punk’s release.

“I don’t want to discuss the terms of the separation in that sense. I very much want to thank CM Punk, Phil, for everything he did in AEW as a wrestler. I don’t think it was an easy decision for anybody on the discipline committee or the outside counsel or for me to do something like that. I do think it was the right move. As far as what’s going to happen in the future, I can’t speak to that. I’m not the attorneys who interpret all that language,” he said.

As you well aware of, the incident took place following Perry’s loss of the FTW Championship to HOOK at AEW All In. The confrontation occurred shortly after Perry’s match against HOOK, and it stemmed from a comment Perry made during the match. Perry remarked about using real glass, referencing a prior disagreement he had with CM Punk regarding a planned spot in their match.
