While the talent in the men’s match is scarce, even fewer names have been announced for the Women’s Royal Rumble so far, with only four participants set to compete. As with the Men’s Rumble, all the names so far have been stars, including former Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax, four-time Women’s Champion Bayley, and former Women’s Champions and Royal Rumble winners Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch.
There’s been no love lost between Belair and Bayley, who have found themselves at odds for over a year, as Belair has feuded with Bayley’s stable Damage CTRL. While Belair has had Bayley’s number in the past, defeating her to retain the WWE Women’s Championship at Crown Jewel 2022, she would be dethroned at SummerSlam 2023 by Bayley’s stablemate, Iyo Sky, who has held the championship ever since.
As for Lynch and Jax, the animosity between the two dates back over five years, when Jax roughed up Lynch during a brawl between the “Raw” and “SmackDown” rosters, costing Lynch a singles match with Ronda Rousey at the 2018 Survivor Series. The two rekindled their feud just a month ago, with Jax so far getting the upper hand when she defeated Lynch at “WWE Raw: Day 1” one week ago.
