On tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown Live, WWE Champion Jinder Mahal competed in a non-title match against former 16-time World Champion John Cena. Cena gave Mahal and Attitude Adjustment but Mahal kicked out. Cena then gave Mahal a Super Attitude Adjustment off of the top rope and appeared to have the match won until Baron Corbin entered the ring and interfered, causing a disqualification.
Corbin attacked Cena with his Money in the Bank briefcase and then cashed in the MITB contract for a WWE Championship title match with Jinder Mahal. Cena got back up and Corbin knocked
