Later in the podcast, Allin went in to more detail about the things people don’t get to see: the relationship he has with Sting outside of the ring.
“He has like no ego,” Allin said, “He doesn’t have a big head, he’s not arrogant, he’s the nicest, humblest guy. And I’ve met so many people that have done far less than he ever will that have the biggest head and the biggest ego. And I’m just like, “Screw you guys.” Stay humble! Why is it so hard to be a normal person? Why is it so hard to stay humble and kind? Why do you have to have this carny-ass atmosphere about you, trying to backstab people?”
Over the past three years, the two men have defeated FTR and The House of Black in Arthur Ashe Stadium, Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage at Wembley Stadium, and Big Bill and Ricky Starks to become the AEW Tag Team Champions. Sting and Allin will look to end “The Icon’s” career on a high note at Revolution when they face The Young Bucks in a Tornado Tag Match.
