WWE's Chief Operating Officer Resigns

WWE’s Chief Operating Officer Resigns – The latest shake-up at the top of WWE’s hierarchy has brought about the departure of Chief Operating Officer Brad Blum, as reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Blum tendered his resignation on May 1st, marking the end of his significant tenure with the company.

Blum’s role within WWE was instrumental, as he served as a critical strategic and operational leader since joining the company in 2006. Initially starting as Chief of Staff, Blum’s responsibilities evolved over the years, encompassing various leadership roles that included overseeing Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Creative Services, IT & Technology, Insights & Analytics, Real Estate & Facilities, and Corporate Travel.

Throughout his tenure, Blum played a pivotal role in WWE’s operations, reporting directly to top executives like Nick Khan and Paul Levesque. From 2006 to 2019, he served as Vince McMahon’s Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff before transitioning to the role of Executive Vice President of Operations until 2023.

Blum’s departure comes amid a period of significant transformation for WWE, following the merger with the UFC into TKO last year. While his profile remains on WWE’s website, his resignation marks a notable change in the company’s leadership structure.

It’s worth mentioning that Blum’s involvement in WWE was not without controversy, as he was implicated in the Janel Grant lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. Allegations suggested that Blum had cautioned McMahon about rumors surrounding McMahon’s relationship with Grant, shedding light on the complexities within the company’s executive ranks.
