Gunther Makes Jey Uso Tap, Advance to KOTR Finals

Gunther Makes Jey Uso Tap, Advance to KOTR Finals – Gunther is headed to the finals of WWE’s King of the Ring Tournament after defeating Jey Uso. During the May 20 episode of WWE RAW, Gunther and Uso faced off in the semifinals. Gunther dominated much of the match by targeting Uso’s already injured arm. Despite this, “Main Event” Jey Uso mounted a late comeback, enduring power bombs, clotheslines, and more.

The match’s outcome was ultimately influenced by an accidental referee incident. As Gunther argued with the referee while delivering chops to Uso, he accidentally struck the official, dazing him. Uso took advantage of the situation, hitting a big kick followed by a splash on Gunther. However, the referee was slow to recover, and Gunther managed to kick out after a prolonged count.

Regaining control, Gunther quickly overpowered Uso, locking him in a Gojira Clutch that Uso couldn’t escape, leading the referee to stop the match. Gunther will now compete in the finals of the tournament against either Randy Orton or Tama Tonga this Saturday.
