The Elite Defeat Team AEW in Double or Nothing’s Anarchy in the Arena Match – Following a spectacular wild brawl, The Elite emerged victorious over Team AEW in the Anarchy in the Arena main event at Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing.
The match concluded when Jack Perry delivered a running knee strike to a bloodied Bryan Danielson, who had already endured a Kazuchika Okada Rainmaker and a Young Bucks’ EVP Trigger, securing the pin and the win for The Elite.
Earlier in the match, Perry’s legs were set on fire by Darby Allin’s flamethrower after Perry had pulled Tony Khan from the gorilla position and brought him out to the ramp.
The match began just after midnight Eastern, a time when AEW pay-per-views typically conclude, and lasted until 12:32 AM Eastern. This bout featured a variety of intense action, following a barbed wire steel cage match and an FTW rules match earlier in the show.
Notable highlights and spots included:
- Darby Allin, wearing a protective mask embedded with tacks, was hoisted upside down by a winch, leaving him vulnerable to a superkick from the Bucks, who wore Reebok Pumps with thumbtacks on the soles. Allin remained suspended for several minutes, prompting fans to chant, “Please help Darby.”
- Matthew Jackson hitting Dax Harwood with an exploding chair, followed by a superkick to Cash Wheeler. Okada then donned a sleeve covered in thumbtacks and used it on Wheeler. He also revealed a shoebox containing the same Reebok Pumps with tacks, adding to the chaos.

Allin remained upside down for minutes, prompting fans to chant “Please help Darby.”

- Bryan Danielson used one of the Pumps against both Bucks, with Nicholas accidentally getting superkicked by Matthew, busting him open.
- Allin and Jack Perry brawled into the loading dock area earlier in the match, where Allin dunked Perry in a tank full of water. As a play on Allin recently being hit by a bus, Perry later drove a small black bus labeled ‘Scapegoat’ through pallets and other debris, with the announce team speculating that he ran over Allin. The camera focused on the driver’s seat, revealing that Perry had knocked himself out on the steering wheel.
- After powerbombing Allin through a collection of chairs, the Bucks brought him up to their entrance and sent him down through the elevator-style hole they use for their entrance.
- Nicholas Jackson jumped off one of the entrances with a senton atomico through Wheeler, who was on a table, while Okada elbow-dropped Dax Harwood through another table off the stage.
Team AEW came out early during Jack Perry’s introduction to kick things off. When Darby Allin’s music started, it played for a while until Matthew Jackson interrupted, demanding they play their own music instead. Bryan Danielson then requested they play the greatest song in wrestling history, Europe’s “The Final Countdown.” The song played for several minutes until Jackson asked for it to stop, explaining that it cost $200,000 every time it played. This prompted fans to chant, “We want music.”
This was the third Anarchy in the Arena match, with the tradition dating back to 2022.
