Oba Femi will defend the title against Wes Lee.

On the June 18 episode of WWE NXT, NXT North American Champion Oba Femi came to the ring and highlighted his win at NXT Battleground, where he beat Wes Lee and Joe Coffey to retain the gold. Femi wondered who would beat him, and Lee came out. Lee, a former NXT North American Champion, made it clear that he wanted another shot at the title, as he aimed to face Femi in a singles match.

Femi agreed to the match but told Lee that it would be his last opportunity as long as he had the title.

WWE has not confirmed when the match will take place.
