WWE Explains Bronson Reed – Seth Rollins Alliance – Bronson Reed’s shocking alignment with Seth Rollins left many fans — and even some wrestling veterans — scratching their heads. After all, it was just weeks ago that Reed was brutalizing Rollins with repeated Tsunami splashes in their heated rivalry. Now, WWE has finally addressed the abrupt alliance and offered an on-air explanation to fill in the missing story beats.
Following Reed’s interference at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where he helped Rollins by attacking CM Punk and Sami Zayn, questions flooded social media. Wrestling veteran and Busted Open co-host Bully Ray voiced what many were thinking.
“I still want to know why… tell me why you’re friends with the guy who hit six Tsunami bombs on you,” Bully said. “He didn’t just try to end your night, he tried to end your career. Why are they friends? Have we gotten that yet?”
The criticism resonated with fans who felt the storyline lacked proper build and context. However, that changed on the July 7 episode of RAW.
During a promo segment on RAW, Seth Rollins invited Reed to the ring to speak directly to the fans. Reed addressed the elephant in the room and justified his partnership with Rollins by pointing to the respect forged through their violent encounters.
“Bron is a tough act to follow, but so am I,” Reed began. “I am the man that hit Seth with six Tsunamis, hurting him so badly that it built a respect between you and I. So much so that Seth brought me into this group, brought me into his vision. And with that vision, I will get the respect that I deserve!”
With that, Reed turned his attention to Jey Uso, claiming Uso lacked the same level of respect and promising to change that in brutal fashion.
“Jey Uso, YEET Man, you do not respect me. So tonight, I will Tsunami the respect into you, just like I did Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins!”
Reed would go on to face Jey Uso in a hard-fought match later in the night. Despite Jey picking up the win via disqualification, the post-match beatdown told the real story. Reed hit multiple Tsunamis on Uso — a chilling reminder of the same punishment Rollins had once endured.
Whether this respect-based alliance evolves into a dominant force or a fragile truce remains to be seen, but WWE has at least provided a narrative bridge between Reed’s past hostility and his current allegiance with Rollins.
