While all of Taker’s children, including his youngest children with McCool, have largely been left alone, Gunner is the one that some have taken interest in, perhaps because he is Taker’s oldest child, his only biological son, or because he’s old enough to wrestle, unlike the rest. It could also be because he’s the only one of Taker’s children that has actually talked to someone connected to the wrestling industry, speaking with Chandler Sorrells back in 2018. It was during that same interview that Gunner put to bed any ideas of Undertaker Jr. or El Hijo del Undertaker, stating that while he had some aspirations about becoming a wrestler as a kid, and had good experiences meeting wrestlers when accompanying his father backstage, he ultimately grew out of it, and decided to pursue other careers instead.
So what did Gunner decide to do with his life? Unlike other family members of wrestlers who have kept their private lives off the grid, Gunner has lived a public life, attending Full Sail University (oddly enough, the same university that once housed “WWE NXT”) and getting a bachelor’s degree in order to pursue becoming a video game artist. He has since gone on to work for technology and service company Concentrix, initially beginning as a technology administrator before working his way up to information technology operations manager. In his spare time, Gunner has continued to pursue his love of video games, streaming on Twitch and creating graphics that he shares on Instagram or sells on Redbubble.
