Dave Meltzer Breaks Down Incident At Knokx Pro Show Involving Raja Jackson, Syko Stu

Today marks one week since the most notorious incident in modern day pro wrestling history, when independent wrestlers Raja Jackson formulated an unscripted assault on Syko Stu, leaving Stu unresponsive. Dave Meltzer, who has covered his fair share of unfortunate tales woven within this industry, recapped the events that transpired at this independent show through Knokx Pro Wrestling this past weekend.Quinton "Rampage" Jackson poses at a red carpet event Vivien Killilea/Getty Images

As more and more information made its rounds throughout the week, including a publicity stunt regarding an upcoming appearance from Raja for another promotion, Raja’s father, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, issued a statement on his son’s actions, with hopes of clearing up misinformation that allegedly were spreading online.

“I thought it was apart of the show. It was bad judgement, and a work that went wrong,” the former UFC Heavyweight star said. “Raja is a MMA fighter not a pro wrestler and had no business involved in an event like this. I don’t condone my son’s actions AT ALL! He suffered a concussion from sparring only days ago and had no business doing anything remotely close to physical contact. As a father, im deeply concerned with his health AND the well being of Mr. Smith. That being said I’m very upset that any of this happened, but my main concern now is that Mr. Smith will make a speedy recovery. I apologize on his behalf and to KICK for the situation.”

Not condoning his actions, Quinton mentioned that Raja has been distant from his dad, which concerns him for his son’s well-being: “All I’m going to say is that my son hasn’t been the same since his mom got murdered. He hasn’t. And I know that. And I’ve been trying to be there for him and make him laugh and cheer him up and everything but I’m not a psychiatrist. I don’t know what the f*** to do…I know my kids, he hasn’t been the same. With me. Like, he’s been distant from me. He wants to be more of a man and more of this. I don’t know how to deal with this s***.”

Miraculously, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel for Stu, who on Tuesday, returned to consciousness, and while still foggy on the incident, can recall some of the events that transpired, via an updated post made by his brother. A GoFundMe page was created for the former U.S. Army veteran, which has seen an uptick in donations since our last report. Knokx Pro Wrestling and WWE’s working partnership has been terminated.
