Keith Lee Hints at AEW In-Ring Return After Long Absence – Keith Lee has dropped a major hint about his long-awaited AEW in-ring return. The former NXT Champion has not competed in nearly two years, with his last match taking place at AEW Collision’s Holiday Bash in December 2023, where he faced Brian Cage.
Lee has previously been open about his health struggles, revealing that he had been dealing with an injury dating back to 2022. His absence from AEW programming has left many fans questioning when they might see “The Limitless One” back inside the ring.
Over the summer, Lee addressed his status after a fan asked him about returning. At the time, he said he was doing well but explained that getting back in the ring wasn’t solely his decision, as booking was out of his control.
This week, Lee provided the clearest sign yet that a comeback is on the horizon. A fan on X (formerly Twitter) sent him a heartfelt message, calling him an inspiration and expressing hope for his return. Lee responded with gratitude, while also teasing what’s next:
“You honor me. I appreciate you for that. All my gratitude. I’d like to take this moment to remind you, that you also, are boundless. Additionally, I’ll take a moment to reassure you that a return to the ring will certainly happen. Though I won’t posit how or when. Much love.”
The reply has sparked speculation among fans, especially with AEW All Out just days away at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. While nothing has been confirmed, Lee’s words strongly suggest that his comeback is not a matter of “if” but “when.” For many, his return would be a welcome addition to AEW’s roster and a moment long in the making.
