Creative Plans for The Vision Reportedly Overhauled Following Seth Rollins Injury – Seth Rollins’ recent shoulder injury has led to major changes within WWE’s creative direction, particularly affecting long-term plans for The Vision faction. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE originally intended for Rollins’ stablemates, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, to capture the World Tag Team Championships as part of a dominant run for the group.
Dave Meltzer reported that WWE’s creative team had planned to position The Vision as the leading force on the RAW brand. “In addition, there were plans for The Vision to dominate RAW even more very shortly with Rollins as world champion and Reed & Breakker as world tag team champions,” Meltzer noted. The strategy would have placed three of the brand’s top titles in the hands of one faction, establishing The Vision as the central storyline on Monday nights.
Rollins sustained the shoulder injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel on October 11. The setback forced WWE to accelerate a planned storyline involving The Vision’s eventual split. Meltzer added that Rollins was expected to remain the face of RAW until officials felt Breakker was “deemed ready” for a full-fledged main event push. The betrayal that occurred on RAW — with Breakker and Reed turning on Rollins — was reportedly planned for sometime in 2026, after a proposed WrestleMania showdown between Rollins and Roman Reigns.
With Rollins now facing surgery and a lengthy recovery, WWE has had to abandon several key creative plans. This includes a scheduled World Heavyweight Championship defense against CM Punk at the Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1, as well as a WarGames match at Survivor Series that would have featured Rollins leading a team alongside Breakker and Reed.
The segment on RAW where Breakker and Reed attacked Rollins and aligned with Paul Heyman was a direct result of the injury and was not originally intended for that episode. WWE now faces the challenge of reshaping its main event scene without one of its top stars while continuing to push Breakker as a major singles act on the brand.
