Seth Rollins Stripped of World Heavyweight Title – The October 20 episode of WWE RAW opened with a major announcement from General Manager Adam Pearce, confirming that Seth Rollins is no longer the World Heavyweight Champion.
Pearce began the show intending to provide an update on Rollins’ condition but was quickly interrupted by the trio of Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Rollins himself. Addressing the group, Pearce directly accused Breakker and Reed of worsening Rollins’ injury following his match against Cody Rhodes at WWE Crown Jewel. Pearce then revealed that Rollins recently underwent major surgery and will be sidelined for “quite a while.”
Given Rollins’ extended absence, Pearce officially declared the World Heavyweight Championship vacant. To determine a new champion, Pearce announced that a Battle Royal would take place later that night on RAW. The winner will go on to face CM Punk for the vacant championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.
The segment ended with a tense exchange as Pearce demanded that Breakker relinquish the title belt. After initially hesitating, Pearce politely asked Breakker again, using the word “please.” Breakker eventually handed the championship to Paul Heyman, who passed it to Pearce, formally confirming the title’s vacancy.
This development marks a significant turning point in WWE’s current landscape, as the World Heavyweight Championship picture is now wide open heading into next month’s premium live event.
