Jessika Carr Takes Aim at Becky Lynch, Teases Possible In-Ring Confrontation

Jessika Carr Takes Aim at Becky Lynch, Teases Possible In-Ring Confrontation – WWE referee Jessika Carr has sparked major discussion online after posting what appeared to be a direct shot at Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. The post, which continues their ongoing on-screen tension, has fueled speculation that Carr may be stepping back into the ring for a future confrontation with “The Man.”

On X (formerly Twitter), Carr wrote: “I don’t say a lot or stir up issues….but it’s wild that someone keeps talking about me….when all they’ve been doing is tapping out, getting counted out, and taking the easy way out by getting disqualified. But I’m the problem?”

The comments referenced Lynch’s recent string of controversial matches. On the October 20, 2025, episode of RAW, Lynch lost to Maxxine Dupri via disqualification after intentionally striking her opponent with the championship belt in front of Carr. Despite the loss, Lynch retained her title, which only added to the growing tension between champion and referee.

Carr’s “getting counted out” line referred to Lynch’s earlier non-title match against Dupri on October 6, where Lynch was counted out after showboating on the announce desk. She later accused Carr of delivering a “fast count,” escalating their feud.

The “tapping out” remark ties back to Lynch’s submission loss at WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20, 2025, when she tapped to AJ Lee’s “Black Widow.” Lynch later claimed she wasn’t tapping but “swatting a rogue bee,” and she even posted a photo of Carr with CM Punk — AJ Lee’s husband — implying bias.

Carr’s post followed an Instagram video from Lynch, where the champion addressed her disqualification loss from Monday. Lynch claimed Carr should have disqualified Dupri first for illegal tactics. “In the match, clear as day, everybody saw it. Maxxine closed-fist punch to my face, an illegal maneuver. Jessika Carr should have disqualified her,” Lynch said.

Lynch also alleged that Dupri’s fingernails were an illegal weapon. “What’s more, an illegal maneuver with an illegal object,” Lynch continued. “I verified this through experts, through nail technicians. They have verified that the nails that Maxxine Dupri was wearing would cause intense damage to the lip”.

Carr’s tweet not only fired back at those claims but reignited fan theories that WWE may be preparing her for an in-ring angle. Before becoming WWE’s first full-time female referee in 2017, Carr wrestled on the independent circuit under the names Kennadi Brink and Jessie Kaye. Trained at Team 3D Academy and Duane Gill’s Academy of Professional Wrestling, she held multiple titles — including the ECWA Women’s Championship — and even wrestled in Evolve under the name Kalyx.

Given Carr’s wrestling background and her escalating tension with Lynch, fans are buzzing about the possibility of WWE turning this social media spat into a storyline. Whether Carr officially laces up her boots again remains to be seen, but her post has already set the stage for one of RAW’s most intriguing developing feuds.
