Brian Cage Facing Third Knee Surgery in Less Than a Year – AEW and ROH star Brian Cage has revealed that he’s dealing with yet another serious injury setback, as he prepares to undergo his third knee surgery in less than twelve months.

Cage shared the update on Instagram, explaining that he recently tried to get cleared during AEW WrestleDream weekend but was told by doctors that something was wrong with his right knee. The issue, which had been causing discomfort since his previous operation, turned out to be related to an implant that may not have fused properly with the bone.

“I went to try to get cleared last month at WrestleDream, and that week we found out there was an issue with my right knee. It had been bothering me since my last surgery. Long story short, there’s an implant in my knee that may not be attached — it didn’t grow into the bone. They have to cut my knee open and plan for the worst while hoping for the best,” Cage wrote.

The former FTW Champion admitted that the news has been mentally and emotionally draining after months of intense rehab and recovery.

“So with that being said, going from one surgery to now having my third knee surgery in one year is beyond devastating. I’ve put so much work, effort, time, and money into everything. To find out this news was extremely depressing and upsetting. I’ve confirmed an appointment and will be getting surgery next week.”

Cage went on to say that his in-ring return is uncertain, depending entirely on how the operation goes.

“It’s a big unknown when I’ll return because I’ll only know after the surgery. So I’ll keep working hard — that’s where I’m at right now. I’m trying to stay positive, but it’s definitely taken its toll on me.”

Cage has not wrestled since earlier this year, and this latest development adds another difficult chapter to his battle with recurring injuries. Despite the setback, “The Machine” remains determined to overcome yet another obstacle on his road back to the ring.
