WWE SmackDown and AEW Collision Viewership Drop to Record Lows – The Halloween edition of WWE SmackDown on October 31 suffered a sharp decline in viewership, drawing an average of 933,000 viewers on the USA Network. That figure represents an 18.7 percent drop from the previous week and marks the lowest audience SmackDown has ever recorded on USA, as well as the show’s smallest overall viewership since its November 2023 episode that was moved to FS1.
In the key 18–49 demographic, SmackDown posted a 0.20 rating, down 31 percent from the prior week. This is also the lowest demo rating in SmackDown’s history on USA, and aside from a clip show aired on New Year’s Eve 2020, it stands as the lowest rating ever across any network for the brand.
The dip was expected, as the episode aired on Halloween — historically a poor-performing night for wrestling viewership — and faced massive competition from Game 6 of the World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays. The baseball game dominated the night, drawing 17.4 million viewers on Fox and a 3.28 rating in the 18–49 demographic, topping all programming on television that evening.
AEW’s Collision also took a significant hit during its special “Fright Night” edition on November 1. The show averaged 217,000 viewers on TNT, down 4.8 percent from the previous week. That marks Collision’s lowest viewership since September 20, when it aired earlier in the day before the All Out pay-per-view.
In the 18–49 demographic, Collision drew just a 0.03 rating, down 25 percent week-over-week and matching its lowest demo rating ever, regardless of date or time slot.
The episode faced tough competition across the board. It aired opposite Game 7 of the World Series, which drew a staggering 24.8 million viewers and a 5.85 rating in the 18–49 demo — the most-watched baseball game in seven years. Additionally, Collision went head-to-head with a busy night of college football and WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event on Peacock, both of which split the audience.
