Another Huge Name Backstage for Tonight’s RAW – Tonight’s WWE RAW broadcast from Madison Square Garden in New York City is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about episodes of the year.
John Cena is scheduled for what is being promoted as his final appearance on the red brand, and new backstage reports suggest that several major names from different eras of WWE are present at the arena. The growing list of stars behind the scenes has created strong curiosity within the fanbase, especially with the ongoing “Last Time Is Now” tournament continuing tonight.
A new report from Fightful Select states that Brock Lesnar flew into the New York area late Sunday night on a private flight and is expected to be backstage for RAW. His name alone raises interest because he has not appeared on WWE television for a long stretch and is known for making rare appearances that tend to draw strong attention. Lesnar’s presence does not confirm an on-screen return, but it adds weight to tonight’s broadcast.
As noted, PWInsiderElite reported that Drew McIntyre has been spotted backstage at Madison Square Garden. McIntyre had been written out of programming through a storyline suspension, so his presence marks his first known involvement with WWE activities since that angle played out on television.
Additional names have been mentioned as well. Roman Reigns, AJ Lee, and Liv Morgan are all expected to be backstage at tonight’s event. Reigns has not been seen since his match at Crown Jewel, and AJ Lee has remained away from WWE since her appearance at Wrestlepalooza. Liv Morgan continues her recovery from shoulder surgery, so it is not known whether she will be cleared for any physical involvement.
Alongside the backstage interest, RAW features several key matches and ongoing storylines. The “Last Time Is Now” tournament moves forward with Solo Sikoa scheduled to face a mystery opponent. GUNTHER returns to action in a match against Je’Von Evans, Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch defends against Maxxine Dupri, and Nikki Bella is set to address her recent attack on Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.
