AEW Collision Results 12/13 – Winter Is Coming, Continental Classic Continues, And More!

It’s time for our main event! Garcia is accompanied to the ring by Marina Shafir, and squares up with a Cardiff audience member as he makes his way through the crowd. Briscoe himself makes an electrifying entrance.

Champion and challenger get to it right away, with Briscoe immediately getting Garcia down on the ground for some blows. Garcia obliges him, and taunts the TNT Champion as the two rise to their foot. Briscoe rocks Garcia with some nasty chops before backing him into a corner to pepper him with stomps, and the cocky Garcia is left panting as Briscoe gets to work!

Briscoe’s Suplex attempt didn’t work, but no worry! He manages to get Garcia into the corner, and dumps him to the outside. Briscoe soars through the middle and the top rope to clip Garcia with a kick, and after making a tour to high five the crowd, goes back up to the apron. Garcia takes advantage, and chokes Briscoe out against the ropes before he dumps Briscoe to the outside. He brags while Briscoe claws his way back into the ring, and as soon as Briscoe manages to crawl in through the ropes, Garcia pounces.

Briscoe’s not about to let Garcia have all the fun! The veteran titleholder fights back, and he dumps Garcia to the outside once again. This time, he’s looking for insurance, and he dives through the ropes before folding his body into a cannonball to flatten Garcia! Briscoe takes to the ring apron to set up for his own move, but is distracted by Shafir!

Garcia follows up seamlessly, with the confidence of a seasoned Death Rider. He takes out Briscoe’s knee before trapping him in the ring apron, and pummels him with over-the-head strikes. He turns Briscoe inside out with a Swinging Neckbreaker, and Shafir verbally berates him as we head to commercial.

Back from the break, and the Death Riders are continuing to mock Briscoe. Garcia is talking incredible trash to Briscoe, but the TNT Champion is not having it! He strikes Garcia, but the young competitor responds with some blows of his own. They trade offense until Briscoe gets Garcia against the ropes for some premier chops. Garcia attempts to shake Briscoe off of him, but Briscoe just comes back with a corkscrew elbow.

Cardiff is ready for redneck kung fu! Briscoe lands his iconic striking sequence before tossing Garcia over his shoulder with a Half Nelson Powerbomb. Garcia manages to kick out, but Briscoe is undeterred. He goes for the chicken wing hold before Garcia wiggles out for a slam of his own. Briscoe miraculously stands back up to dump Garcia with a Death Valley Bomb before securing the deal with a Basement Clothesline.

Briscoe’s looking for the exclamation point on the top rope, but Shafir interferes once again! Shafir dumps Briscoe onto the top rope, and Garcia has enough time to recover as Shafir does a tour of the Cardiff crowd — middle fingers up, of course. Garcia meets Briscoe on the top rope and rakes his back before setting up for a Superplex, which connects with devastating impact!

It’s a page out of the greats’ books! Garcia swings up and sets Briscoe up to another corner for the night’s second Suplex, and he is far from done. They travel to the third turnbuckle, and that is the night’s third Superplex!

Garcia’s confused expression after Briscoe immediately responds with a Suplex of his own says it all. Both men are down after four match Suplexes, and the referee is forced to start the count. Both men make it to their feet around the same time, and they begin trading harsh words and forearm strikes. Garcia peppers Briscoe with strikes, but ever the resilient fighter, Briscoe comes back with a combination of forearm strikes and chops. Garcia goes for the kick, and after some abdominal knee strikes, sends sweat flying off of Briscoe’s chest with chops of his own! Briscoe isn’t staying down, and he connects with an emphatic Clothesline!

Briscoe is looking for the Jay Driller once again, and Shafir is caught grabbing Briscoe’s foot! The referee climbs the ropes as he enthusiastically kicks Shafir out of the ring, but what’s this? Wheeler Yuta is there, and he nails Briscoe in the crown jewels! Garcia tries to capitalize with a devastating drop, but by some miracle (or pure instinct, Briscoe kicks out!

An irate Garcia wastes no time peppering Briscoe with blows. He tries to set up for the Sharpshooter, but Briscoe goes for the inside cradle. Garcia kicks out, but leaves himself open for Briscoe to finally, finally cinch in the Jay Driller! One, two, three, and it’s championship retained!

Winner, and still the TNT Champion: Mark Briscoe!

The Conglomeration join Briscoe in the ring to celebrate! Orange Cassidy takes Briscoe’s hand, and Briscoe, Nightingale, and Cameron all raise up their titles as the show goes off the air.
