AJ Styles To Shave His Head Bald? – AJ Styles is planning a major personal change when he eventually steps away from the ring, and the first thing on the chopping block is the look he has become known for throughout his WWE run. In a new conversation with Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes, Styles said that when retirement comes, his trademark long hair won’t be sticking around.

Styles, who debuted for WWE in January 2016 with the shoulder-length style that became part of his identity, said he already knows what his next chapter will look like. “When retirement does finally come, that will be the first thing that goes is probably the hair,” Styles said, noting that he is not planning a simple trim or a return to a past hairstyle. Instead, he said he is seriously considering a complete change. “I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about a full shave. Just go, completely gone, all of it.”

One person who may speed up the timeline is his wife, Wendy Jones. Styles joked that she has been pushing him to shorten it whether he retires or not. “According to my wife, it’s gonna be cut soon, like it’s getting way too long, and she doesn’t like it,” he said. “So she’s like, repeatedly telling me, I’m gonna have to cut a couple inches off. Not cut it all off now.”

Styles also spent time during the interview reflecting on the different “hair eras” fans have turned into memes over the years. He referenced the early TNA days often labeled “Emo AJ Styles,” his medium-length WWE debut look nicknamed “Soccer Mom AJ Styles,” and what he described as today’s version: “His hair is too long AJ Styles.” Each phase has found a life of its own online, something he laughed about while acknowledging how much his appearance has shifted during his career.

Although he is considering shaving his head after retiring, he admitted there is one major drawback: the awkward growing-back period if he ever decides to grow it out again. “The thing is, if I want to grow out my hair after doing that, it’s going to look really silly,” he said. “There’s always that point.”

McIntosh jokingly suggested the nickname “Skin head AJ Styles” for the future look, but Styles quickly clarified with a laugh that this is not the direction he is headed. “Just a shaved head, not a skin head. We’ll see.”
