Alberto Del Rio Released on Conditional Suspension

Alberto Del Rio is reportedly no longer in custody following developments in his recent legal situation.

According to SuperLuchas and local media reports, the former WWE and AAA Champion has been granted a conditional suspension of his sentence after reaching a settlement agreement with his wife, who accused him of domestic assault on April 6. As part of the reported agreement, Del Rio is said to have received forgiveness from his wife and paid one million pesos in restitution.

Despite his release, the legal matter is not fully resolved. The report notes that the legal process will continue, meaning the case remains open and ongoing.

Del Rio was initially arrested on April 6 after authorities responded to a report from his wife alleging physical and verbal assault. Officers reportedly observed visible injuries to her face and arms upon arrival. He was taken into custody at the scene and later ordered to remain in pretrial detention.

This is not the first time Del Rio has faced serious legal allegations. In 2020, he was arrested in Texas in connection with accusations of battery and sexual assault involving a former partner. He was charged with aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault at the time, though those charges were ultimately dropped in 2021 following multiple delays in the case.

The latest development marks a significant turn in the current situation, though with the case still active, further updates are expected as the legal proceedings continue.
