Andrade Comments on AEW Dynamite Return

Andrade Comments on AEW Dynamite Return – Andrade El Idolo has officially addressed his return to AEW, with his status now confirmed as All Elite following his appearance on the January 7, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite. The show took place at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and marked Andrade’s first official on-screen involvement since reports surfaced about a one-year non-compete clause tied to his WWE departure.

After briefly reappearing in AEW late last year, Andrade disappeared from television amid those non-compete reports. That absence ended on Dynamite, where Andrade was revealed as the newest member of the Don Callis Family. AEW President Tony Khan later confirmed that Andrade is officially signed with the company.

Following the announcement, Andrade took to social media to thank Khan for the opportunity. In one post, Andrade wrote, “Once again, thank you very much, Sir!!! @AEW vamos a romperla!!” The Spanish phrase translates to “we’re going to break it,” signaling Andrade’s intent to make an immediate impact. In a separate post, he declared, “LATINO MAN ‘ANDRADE EL IDOLO’ Is Back @AEW.”

Andrade’s return coincided with further expansion of the Don Callis Family. Former TNA standout Jake Something also aligned with the group and is now competing under his real name, Jake Doyle. Doyle made his debut earlier in the night by attacking JetSpeed, consisting of Kevin Knight and “Speedball” Mike Bailey, after Don Callis placed a bounty connected to AEW National Champion Ricochet.

Later in the show, The Young Bucks and Jack Perry defeated The Demand, made up of Bishop Kaun, Ricochet, and Toa Liona. Their celebration was cut short when the Don Callis Family launched a post-match assault, with Andrade standing tall alongside Callis and the faction.

The January 7 episode of Dynamite featured a loaded card. Jon Moxley successfully defended the AEW Continental Championship against Shelton Benjamin in a match that came within seconds of a time limit draw. Moxley secured the victory with just five seconds remaining. In the main event, “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland defeated HOOK and Powerhouse Hobbs in a violent Lights Out match. The episode also marked Jim Ross’ return to the commentary desk in his home state.
